Look , the fun we are all having is clearly at the expense of the company and its statements , marketing, and failed promisies.
Even if the figure turns out better than everything they have said, they have shown very questionable ethics regarding the product they are selling. Poor judgement can kill a company in this world , regardless of how good a product is.
I REALLY hope it comes out better than they say, because I WANT that Wonka.
But regardless , their business practice leaves quite a bit to be desired.

My biggest fear is they now toss everything in with the kitchen sink on this Lenon figure release and find out it is more difficult to produce in this scale and then botch the next release (Wonka) because of all the extra expense they are incurring from this figure. I too want that to be a masterpiece and I wish Wonka was the first figure they did. Because of all the hand wringing and ire they are getting on this Lennon release they will have to deliver a great figure even at the cost of losing money to produce it.
M8 could end up spending so much in this figure it carries forward with them into future releases until it breaks their ability to produce at the price point they want to be able to market at. They could just toss out a lackluster piece to get back even and it will be all over but the crying if that is indeed Wonka they shortcut.

I'm wondering if we'll even get half the accessories we're being shown. In the podcast that was done they said they rendered every possible accessory they could. Then cut those down to what works best with the figure.

That seems like a pretty inefficient way to do things. Why not figure out what works first, and just render that?

I am highly critical of this company's methods but have never wanted to be more wrong because a licensed Travis Bickle is my number one Grail...that said...I am thinking more and more that this is looking like the type of thing where they end up delaying for another year to a year and a half and then suddenly disappearing in the night never to be heard from again with as much Paypal money as they could snag from the last holdouts. Three years later most of the principles show up again under a different name hawking a new "ground breaking" product outside of the figure industry, maybe some kind of consumer electronics item...cue the angry mob who are deeply offended by my sheer level of pure evil for daring to impugn the sterling characters of the fine gentlemen at Molecule8, but we are all entitled to our opinions and sadly for me(because I want that Taxi Driver)this is mine.
