Re: Molecule8 - 1/6th Scale John Lennon

I mean what if in their naivety because they are new they have passed on every date they were given by the factory where as other more experienced companies like Hot Toys or Blitzway keep it to themselves and stay quiet because they know it probably wont be met. Just a theory thats all.

Then I guess they shouldn't have come onto the scene acting like they were going to revolutionize the collectible world and upset the reigning king. They also from the start gave a release date for this figure that most on here knew was unobtainable. And then they debuted this revolutionary cyborg skeleton that they said would be used in their figures. Then months later they show a much simpler skeleton that they will be using and acting like they did it for our benefit. Check out their FB page sometime. Comment upon comment lauding them for a figure that has not even seen the light of day yet. What you don't see? Negative comments. You used to but now they censor anything negative.

Facts don't support your theory. They haven't proved to be naif. They have instead repeatedly proved that they are lying and they aren't reliable.

Re: Molecule8 - 1/6th Scale John Lennon

I'm not saying its right but people lie all the time, every time you see an ad on tv they are lying, most people on my friends list are lying when they make out they have perfect lives.
I lied to my Mother yesterday when I said I couldn't come up because Im changing my tyre :rotfl
I will judge the figure when I have it in my hand though that might be a while as my order number is 3044 :gah:

Re: Molecule8 - 1/6th Scale John Lennon

Remember kids...when Blitzway didn't make the ship date for the Ghostbusters they did not say that the figures were done they were just "delaying them to give retailers an opportunity to stock and sell them." They also did not have the audacity to claim that all of their development photos were many months old and simply being posted to give "collectors insight into the process." This is where they crossed over from beginner's bad luck to con artistry.

It would be interesting to see just what other companies did say and how it turned out on the release of their first figure for sure.

There is no way you are not a shill. New to the board. Check. Gravitates to this thread. Check. Claims to have ordered this. Check. Throws buckets of water on the fact this is not really a company but a scam by making excuses and brings up another companies delayed figure. Check. A few random posts of no consequence or substance in other threads to up post count and look legitimate. Check.

So. Yeah. I don't buy it.

Am I allowed to not be new? I have been floating around on here for a while I used go on toyark but found it a little boring and repetitive.

True but most aren’t starting a business now in an age where it’s all recorded for the world to recall. M8 should know this, heck we can even see the founders previous employment history. He had a 6 month stint at a company where the owner has the same last name as him meaning he put a job he got through a brother or cousin on his CV. Not saying thats either good or bad but the point is we can see it all and if you want to claim you are something special you either back it up or be prepared to be humble when it doesn’t pan out.
The headsculpt and body didn’t work together and everyone said that. But still they maintained a release date only months away. People called bull***** but still they maintained that date. Surprise surprise the date came and went. Then the endoskeleton scenario. Surprise surprise they announced a new endoskeleton and pretended it was new and improved but failed to awknowledge the fact it was clearly a downgrade. Many dates came, many dates went. The good people of this forum have predicted a lot of things but almost all of them have come true so far.
M8 promised to be a new kind of figure company. One that promised more bang for your buck, that shows the whole manufacture process from start to finish, that would force other companies to up their game and designs that would lead the industry into the 21st century.
Vijay describe other current 1/6 scale processes as being like “a playstation 1” and they were trying to be “like playstation 4”. So far none of that has come to pass. They now seem more interested in getting money than producing a piece that will further the 1/6 figure manufature process.
I know it’s hard to do something like this but if he came out stating “it’s tough but we can do it, make a great figure of lennon that’ll be worth the money” then all the stuff they are doing would be cherries on top but unfortunately they came out hailing themselves as the new gods of the industry. Something you should never do when you have no idea what the industry you are getting into is really like.
Even if he is released with a silicone body, metal endoskeleton, two industry standard headsculpts and three costumes- it’s only going to be as good as two nice quality heads from a hot toy on a phicen body now. The clothing looks a lot like stuff we have seen before time and time again meaning this is only ever going to be a good figure at best. Far from the game changer they professed it to be. Again none of this would be a thing if it wasn’t for their PR being so terrible that we can call them on all this BS. Only themselves to blame.

I'm just an observer here, I never pre-ordered this and, unless I see truly revolutionary in-hand pics of this figure by trusted collectors, I don't think I will ever buy this.
It's just that I'm genuinely curious to see if this ever comes out, and if it does, what it finally looks like.

So, having lurked in this thread since the beginning, my advice to you, whether you're a M8 shill or not, is to just sit back and see the whole thing unfold. If you ever do get your figure post pics for all to see, otherwise, you'll just be wasting your time and rightfully or not, you'll be treated as a shill. :dunno

Re: Molecule8 - 1/6th Scale John Lennon

Who was it that posted that Vijay podcast? That would be hilarious to re-listen now, more than it was back then.

EDIT: Oh yeah...

Sorry, but getting four people together for a podcast who are located in four different countries requires some effort. We're shooting for May 21st if I can get the planets to align - does that make you feel better? I'll be talking to Vijay on the phone tonight, and I'll have better info then.

BTW, we'll also be asking the group for input on questions.

Ok the chaps, here ya go and please spare a moment to like us and leave a review on iTunes as it really helps. We are available across most if not all platforms but they tend to be a little slower updating things. It is on iTunes now though so I hope you all enjoy -

I had issues accessing the link as well... I had to change browsers. Here is the link that worked for me:

Too bad the podcast has been taken down.

Re: Molecule8 - 1/6th Scale John Lennon

moelecule8's first ever 1/6 scale figure has been released, shipped and received by 250 customers. and yet still no comments,
no pictures, even no complains from those customers. also no comments and no final product pictures from m8 themselves. is that
what they want? m8 once said they want to revolutionize the figure industry, but the world hasnt changed a bit after the release.
would m8 consider it a failure?
