I also have to contain my impulses and have limited myself to just two lines. Iron Man and Predators.

i tried limiting, it was just iron man, and then batman, and then now its predators, and now tron, and custom killzones, and half life, i wont be doing terminator or anyting like that... im pretty specific about my displays, so i wont just get a little of everything.

but when i began, i started with iron man and war machine, and told myself i wouldnt be getting any figure with cothing, because then its a doll.. well now im a doll collector, starting with mech test, then 2 face, and then everyone. haha.

I've decided just to stick with Iron Man and Predator now. So many great figures and licenses coming from HT though.

I'll be putting certain pieces on the base and those will be cast with each one. So they will all be the same. That racecar better show up today!

You have to hide a treat inside of it to get them going, maybe a little catnip too!

ok, the car is dead.

here is what i came up with as far as where to put what pieces to make the best diorama. if i went by the movie, there is almost nothing on this square of pavement.
BUT, were going for a good looking dio. here right?

so what do you think? nothing is stuck in place or anything. but i was at it for a couple hours, (its harder than you think, to put the pieces somewhere good looking, and to be conscious of what is actually possible with a one piece mold.) and this is what i think, looked, worked, and felt best.
i definitely realized that LESS is more in this case. having too much car parts totally intruded on the look of the dio. and the figures youre showcasing.

Car parts looks great. Maybe a bit more weathering/burning on them. They were running an Indy race. Maybe scratch them up a tiny bit more.

burn patches on the car parts? yeah i will. in the final paint. this is just for placement. everything wont be painted until its cast.
