Uh, his front shell looks like someone tried to put a brown wash on it. It doesn't look very good.....

If mine looks like that, I'm selling these ****s.

I just noticed that now that you mentioned it.
Hopefully it looks better at different angles.

I canceled a while back due to delays, but yeah, I would only consider these now if they went on a 50% clearance, if that. With all the good TMNT stuff coming from other companies, it was an easy call.

I hope these are real sturdy figures. I don't mind the more toyish feel to these than Hot Toys type figures as long as they are sturdy enough to be "played" with. My introduction to TMNT was through their toys first then the cartoon followed by the movie and then the comics so I don't mind the toy vibe to these where it would bother me on Star Wars. I am planning on bringing these to my office.

No way do these look like they should be $150 a piece. The Neca Movie TMNT figures blow these away, are 18" and only $100 each (way too big for me and I'm not a movie fan, only original comic look fan). I'll get to see them in person as a friend ordered all 4, but these pics from Mondo themselves are not very promising looking to me... Hope you guys that ordered them feel your getting your moneys worth.

With the high end 1/12 figures reaching over $100, these honestly do seem like a bargain.

I won't judge them until I get them in hand, but i like what i see so far.

I also agree with you on the 1/4 Neca. The pictures i've seen make them look 5x what they charged.

The neca movie turtles are epic

For me, I always loved the smaller neca comic version but they cost $300-400 for a set
Paying double that for a bigger version was the choice for me

i personally like the brown wash, they live in the sewers...what do you expect lol

That instagram picture makes it look like an amateur simply painted brown streaks down the shell. That looks nothing like the prototype paint apps nor does it resemble comic shading. It looks cheap to me. If they were going to do a cheap looking wash on the front shell, they should have matched that shading style to the rest of the figure. I hope mine look better than that.

Just got mine, I was actually surprised. UPS had it scheduled for Monday and it arrived two days early. :rock

Unfortunately I am on my way out the door so I can't open him up completely but here is a couple of quick snaps.

Sorry for the supersized pics but I'm in a rush :lol

That's way better. There seems to be a dry brushed weathering effect over the front shell, which may vary from figure to figure. I will wait it out, and see if they come out with a Casey. I want to commit to just one style, and right now I'm leaning towards the HT style. It's great that Dream EX came right out the door with Casey and Shredder before the turtles.

Wife was getting ready so I was able to get a couple of shots right out of the box. No futzing really, the joints are really tight, it's hard to move around the arms and legs which is a good thing. The swords do not stay in the left hand very well, very loose but it isn't that bad. Again apologies for the massive pics.
