It was a Limited subscription though. I was a bit irritated to have missed it at first, but that's the nature of limited editions.

Although it sucks not everyone could get a subscription, it's nice to finally see a company release something that's truly limited. I felt like total crap after I paid after-market prices on a HT Tumbler, and then HT rereleases the exact same product a few years later. I hope Mondo doesn't rerelease the exclusive items in a few months/years. How upset people are over missing out, is how much joy I have over "winning" the opportunity to purchase the subscription.

That's the big thing though. Nothing in this hobby is truly "limited edition" anymore. Even with exclusives, most companies are producing so many that pretty much everyone gets a chance. I think that's what angered a lot of people. But I mean, go back 8 or 9 years ago to when I started collecting sideshow and a lot of their stuff would go to wait list the very first day and I don't think they had anywhere near mondos numbers. You basically had to do the exact same thing as you did with mondo, wait on the webpage constantly hitting refresh. I do agree with IronManny though, its refreshing to be able to get something truly limited again.

However, even though I got a sub, it wouldn't have really mattered to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited that I did but I've been waiting god knows how long for figures like these. The NECA ones are great but they look exactly like what they are, toys on my shelf. Whereas these will look more like collectibles.
