I still really want the old NECA turtles, but have yet to find them for a reasonable price.
I've toyed with the idea of buying the NECA turtles but in this jungle of bootlegs I just don't know how to tell them apart.

Excuse my ignorance but what's a fair price? I remember they weren't all that cheap to buy orignally. Maybe that was due to the exchange rate at the time for me but what are they asking for now?
When they were available widely in comic books stores, I was seeing them for about $20 Canadian each. Now I'd generally have to pay well over $100 each after exchange rate and shipping.
I've considered getting the bootlegs but can't bring myself to buy fake figs.

Are you wanting moc or loose?
Prefer to do moc but open to loose if everything was intact and in good condition.
I've got the NECA Leonardo - bought it back when they first came out.Authentic: green shell, rubber front shell, flat feet, generally come from box set or clamshell packaging
Bootleg: blue shell, arched feet, harder plastic front shell, come in cylindrical tubes.
What time frame do you think we'll see our Leonardo?
