Weird, here is a pic of my sword arm.
Also, how long is your robe? I noticed the proto pics and the pics Master Ski posted both look like they stop just at the gound, while mine is so long that it has to be curled along the base otherwise it drags on the floor BENEATH the base!
Who the hell dressed my WitchKing!
On mine, the sleeve covers the armored elbow and hangs down. As I said before though, I had to work with it to get it that way. The length of the robe is longer in the back than yours but shorter on the anvil side.
I guess that many of these will have variations, due to different people constructing them in the factory.
Keep telling yourself that.....
When looking into the War Mask, should I be able to see light colored polystone (where the inside back of the hood should be) or should there be only black cloth visible all around the inside?
Something solid needs to hold up the mask, I think this is what you're seeing, I think they painted it black though, so with the right shadow you shouldn't be able to see it clearly.
Thanks for the reply. I realize that the hood needs support, I sort of figured that the cloth would cover the entire inside though. I just adjusted the fabric around and it looks fine. You're absolutely right that no one will ever see it anyway.
I know that the cliche "it has to be seen in person" has been thrown around a lot, but it is completely true. This thing is Freakin Awesome in person.
I don't have my Weta crown anymore, but if memory serves this is pretty undersized on the PF.
If no one posts a comparison before I receive mine I'll post a pic of the two together.
I'm glad you dig the piece. With your name, it almost had to be that way for everything to be right in Mordor.
i understand your gripes with all the inaccuracies, as im the same with Predator collectibles, but since SS did this piece in house, i would defn expect inaccuracies from them. If this was designed by the company that did the real character on film, then thats a different story.
Not necessarily. Weta's RWOS statue shows the RW carrying the "Sword of the Witchking", which the WK uses. The sword the RW had in FOTR was different, one of 2 types that the lower Nazgul used.
I think that companies like SS & Weta are going to use a bit of "creative adjustment" when they produce statues, etc.
There's a simple way of explaining this - the RWOS IS the Witch-King He was one of the 9 after all.
