Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF! Order NOW through the banner!.

The sword looks like it has a slight drop to it.

Just the picture, its straight as arrow in person (even double checked!).

Oh, and for those wondering, the sword (as I originally feared in the beginning of this thread) is not entirely to scale. The real sword is just under 55inches, with this is only 12.5inches (at 1/4 scale this should be closer to 13.75). Not a deal breaker but an issue none-the-less. Although its completely lightweight plastic instead of metal like other PF pieces. :(

More baffling is why there are 30 links in the chain while the actual prop one had only 15.

Still a very cool piece, but its definitely more a stylistic interpretation that movie accurate the more I examine it.

Looks to me like the flames are playing with our eyes. I see what you're talking about, but if you focus on the bottom edge of the sword, it looks pretty straight. Cheese FTW!

i understand your gripes with all the inaccuracies, as im the same with Predator collectibles, but since SS did this piece in house, i would defn expect inaccuracies from them. If this was designed by the company that did the real character on film, then thats a different story.

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF! Order NOW through the banner!.

Would you post pics of this 1:1 set you have?

You betcha! Heres a 2 little pics of me from 2 halloweens ago with the Wraith garb, and pic of the helmet, and a side by side of the 1/1 WK sword beside the PF (minus the hilt which is part of the hand). i have many others but have others incriminated in them. ;) The setup is currently waiting on a new mannequin for display. :)

www.kropserkel.com is where you can see a bunch of detailed photos (with afar better cameras then I have) of the individual parts (or if you are interested in acquiring one. :naughty ). And I can post pics of any parts of the cloak (something that the site is sorely lacking) you'd like for reference, just name the area. :)

Not necessarily. Weta's RWOS statue shows the RW carrying the "Sword of the Witchking", which the WK uses. The sword the RW had in FOTR was different, one of 2 types that the lower Nazgul used.

I think that companies like SS & Weta are going to use a bit of "creative adjustment" when they produce statues, etc.

Did United Cutlery make the helm or is it just one one of their stands?

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF! Order NOW through the banner!.

My Ex arrived today, #371/500 (I never seem to get a low # unless I convert to Flex:dunno). It's a BIG piece. I plan to futz around a little more with the robes but I really like this! (The robes can easily be used to cover the leg and I prefer it like that.)

It was mentioned that this has no sleeves but mine appears to definately have one on the side with the sword. I had to mess with it to get the sleeve to lay right though.

Weird, here is a pic of my sword arm.

Also, how long is your robe? I noticed the proto pics and the pics Master Ski posted both look like they stop just at the gound, while mine is so long that it has to be curled along the base otherwise it drags on the floor BENEATH the base! :horror

Who the hell dressed my WitchKing! :slap :lol

Thanks! I wear the gloves more often then I'd like to admit. :monkey3 They just feel badass...

More than that (for whole set), unfortunately, custom armor aint cheap... :monkey1 And yes, you contact them and they'll send you info and a sizing chart and then everything is custom made to fit YOU. You can also get things done item by item (robes, then gauntlets, then grieves, etc), so you dont go bankrupt. ;) Takes about 3-4 weeks per item turn-around.

That is indeed a UC helm & UC sword (and the UC WK dagger too!).

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF! Order NOW through the banner!.

daaaamn :horror, im not that hardcore of a fan. If i was rich though. That whole set up would look bad ass on a custom mannequin.

Ugghhh, can the detolf support the weight of this? It looks really risky

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF! Order NOW through the banner!.

I like mine ok, it isn't overwhelming like Gandalf was/is. The rust effect is pretty poor (i.e. orange); but the pose doesn't aggrevate me as much as it used to and strangely neither does the "flaming cheeto sword of power!"

Definately not a top entry at all, SS really could have improved on the weathering and taken their time with the costuming. There is clearly an embroidered pattern on his cloak, they missed it - unlike the GtW PF. I don't have my Weta crown anymore, but if memory serves this is pretty undersized on the PF.

Middle to lower of the pack for me.

Glad you got yours aok (it seems there are only 4 or 5 of us that got this so far)! Im strangely fine with the cheeto sword in person as well.

How is your cloak? Sleeves, length, etc?

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF! Order NOW through the banner!.

The cloak is decidedly boring actually, of course the ML didn't have the most elaborate costume in the films; but there should have been some patterning.

I don't think that bothers me as much as the lack of weathering does, the contrast is just too bright with the metallic portions; I guess that's why drybrushing exists.

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF! Order NOW through the banner!.

The more I see, the more I like !
