Heh. Why not!?....It's been 13 years since Annihilation. I hope they don't recreate the Scorpion Vs. Johnny Cage scene. That one's always been a classic for me.

See.. that fight had it. just off the top of my head, that was my favorite fight in the first film.

If they do reboot the Mortal Kombat franchise, I hope they pick actors who look closer to the video game appearances (i.e. Shan Tsung was an old Chinese guy with long white hair, Kano should have more metal parts in his face, Sonya Blade should be:

I don't want to see anything MK anymore, loved MKII and pumped enough quarters into that machine and finished it a zillion times,sometimes even wasted lots of time ice blasting my opponets during the Fatality screen for 5mins straight then throwing the ice grenade to blow that sucker up or do the uppercut fatality.The movies were quite crappy,especially how Raiden was not Asian and had to be that guy Christopher Lambert with his anoying ass voice "my fighterzzzzz" *facepalm* and what was up with Sub Zero and Scorpion?..we first see them as like Italian gino guys in masks then, when they are in fight scenes they are Asian!!..should have just casted the Asian stunt doubles to begin with since they don't talk anyway, same with Raiden..having a white guy play Raiden is dumb.

The director also could have learned a thing or two from Big Trouble in Little China, as characters in that movie look more Mortal Kombat this this POS movie was.

Yeah I'm really impressed with the actor that portrayed Johnny Cage. He didn't have any martial arts background, but did great with what he did. I also liked the Liu Kang and Reptile fight.

BTW, still think MKII is one of the best games I've ever played; gotta love a game where you can punch opponents in the balls . It was a classic, but never really liked III with all the combos and other crap. I just prefer my MK to be a button smasher

7 minute probably nsfw red band viral type trailer is up. It looks all kinds of cheesy, but in a potentially good way. I think it's a real trailer...it might be a joke. I'm not sure.

I did a little more searching and not much seems to be known about it. The actors aren't credited on imdb...

You hush! The original MK movie was cheesy and awesome for it. It is the only good thing Anderson has ever done with the exception of Milla Jovovich and maybe Event Horizon. Maybe.
