I post this because just about everyone I knew had one of these phones for a while. It looks like they are attempting a comeback with DROID tech.

The svelte new smartphone sports a dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera capable of 1080p video recording, and 4G LTE support. The RAZR's massive 4.3" Super AMOLED touchscreen looks dazzling, and is encased in Gorilla Glass for added protection. The device is splash resistant, with Motorola promising that even the phone's internals are meant to survive a bit of water.

One of the biggest selling points of the original RAZR was its thin form factor. The Droid RAZR continues that trend, measuring a laughably-narrow 7.1mm — making it the world's thinnest smartphone.

I was interested in this, but.. it looks too thin (which I find uncomfortable in my hands), and the camera makes it have a bulky area. The overall design is good though, I think. Hope the build quality will be good. I never tried the software so I can't talk about that but.. I might give it a try. I'm an iPhone user but I'd like a secondary cell for business purposes and it looks like this might do.

I had my razor for a couple years & then I gave it off to my dad when I got a new phone & even he had it for a years after that. the old razor was a tank

RAZR is just a name though. Motorola is trying to relive the glory days.

Build quality should be the best--the case is kevlar, and the screen is gorilla glass. The insides are coated as well which allows it to survive minor liquid messes.

I have an old RAZR phone now and I've always hated the piece of ____. I wouldn't buy this one simply because of that! :lol

They're not really related though---the only thing they have in common is being really thin.

Anyways--the Galaxy Nexus is a better phone, I'm going for that one if I can.

Depends on your carrier. Data plans are what get you and if you're not grandfathered into unlimited data you'll get raped.

I have to pretty much go with Verizon because most others aren't very good around here. I won't pay a ton for a phone. I've got too many other things I'd rather have than to pay big bucks every month for a phone.

I pay $100 a month including taxes

That's a 450minutes plan with unlimited messaging which is $60, then the data plan which is $30 (I got my plan a while back so I'm still on unlimited data).

Only problem with the new RAZR and Galaxy Nexus phones is that they are $300 with a 2-year contract.

WTF!?!?!

____ that, I am eligible for an upgrade and was gonna get the Driod Bionic, but then I heard about the RAZR & Nexus, so decided to wait. But there is no way I am paying $300 for a phone.

Guess I'll just stick with my X for awhile.

Yeah, thats what I plan on doing. I'm in no rush, my X is still more phone than I really need anyway. And my Verizon guy said we are still a year away from 4G in my area.

And I really dont wanna loose my Paradise Island :lol
