Anyone know a MP3 to ringtone program that's free that works? I've tried 2 from download.com and neither has actually converted the file yet.

Believe or not I am trying to convert a MLP song for a ringtone. :p I want my work phone to have a pony ring every time my boss is calling me. :lol

I have no problem converting files to ringtones, but my phone wont allow me to upload them as a ringtone. Needs to come from Sprint. Anyone know how to bypass that?

Well, considering I broke my other phone, I'm using a dinosaur at the moment.

I remember that I had to get an MP3 editor and change some of the settings on mp3s to use them as ringtones with an older Nextel I had because there was an aspect the was slightly different on Nextel phones. I had heard that it was the same on Sprint phones. I don't remember exactly what it was so I am going to look in to that and get back to you.

Why thank you!

BuffyGirl - The website that shropt linked to actually makes it easy to make these files into the QCP files that a lot of sprint phones require. The site walks you through it. You just upload your song, cut out a less-than-30-second clip of it, and choose the file type to convert it to. Then download it back to your computer and load it to your phone by the cable or micro SD chip. I wish I had this site as a resource when I had my Nextel i580.

I'll give it a whirl and see how it goes.

I think it will only allow me to upload the ringtone if it's coming to my phone via text message. I'm pretty sure I used this site before and it didn't work.

I made a ringtone for my current phone on that website. After you make it...it gives you the option to have it texted or to download it back to your computer.
