Museum Replicas Movie Cap Shield and Movie Mjolnir

I sorry to be negative, but those look terrible

They look like kids toys, I'm so glad I'm getting an in official one

The handle on mjolnir is too fat and the details on it are terrible, the Disguise Halloween prop was more accurate

What does everyone else think?

Do we like glitter on caps shield?

Sorry to start this thread on a bad note, but I agree. The shield looks terrible, IMO. Mjolnir looks okay (but that's because I can't see a lot of the detail.) The best looking piece there is Stark's race suit, and of course, I'd never buy that.

I'm REALLY disappointed. I saw the thread title and was excited, but I'm really underwhelmed. I even had to double-check the photo to see it was 'Museum Replicas.' I had so much hope for these releases, especially Captain's shield.

On a side note, they need to hire that guy from the SHH Boards making the custom shields. Those looks jaw-dropping, IMO. I'm sure someone will post a pic to show a comparison of the two, for those who haven't seen it yet.

I have got the 1942 Heart Shape CA shield from MR recently, it sucks. Comparing with the licensing from Epic Weapons, it is like one from the heaven and one from the hell.

Yeah, the head of mjolnir doesn't look so bad, if anything I could use that then make my own more accurate handle, just depends how they've put that handle on though

If it's stuck into a slot then that obviously means the hole in mjolnir will be massive

I found this pic of MR's replicas on a different forum and at first there were only close up shots so I genuinely didnt think it was MR

That's why I'm so glad I'm getting this

That's the shield. That's a work of art, IMO. AMAZING likeness to the movie version.

This is what I was hoping to see and instead, MR fell short.

I also just want to say Museum Replicas sucks. I can already tell that the handle on their Mjolnir looks too thick and the head should def be wider. The $15 hollow plastic hammer I bought looks more accurate.

He's very open to PMs about it but I'd be quick

No pics of the shield on there though, probably due to licence issues

The back is not movie accurate, but the front is what matters and I'm sure folk are creative enough to work out a way of doing it

i got this pic off of The RPF forum, someone there is at the Con and snapped a few images, this is the only one posted

i doubt they'll be making other versions. maybe an unpainted one without the star further down the line but again that's a shot in the dark

the only thing i would use out of all of that is the hammer head if it's metal, but even then, the £13 Disguise prop looks better!

So what's the back look like? The only pics of this custom I have seen have been from the front. Nobody seems to answer the question about how the back will be finished..

That MR shield is just....yuck. The Mjolnir is OK but could use some work.
