So what's the back look like? The only pics of this custom I have seen have been from the front. Nobody seems to answer the question about how the back will be finished..

That MR shield is just....yuck. The Mjolnir is OK but could use some work.

post number 11

i have answered this

i have a pic of it that i can post

as i've said previously, there are ways of customising it and there is a guy on The RPF who can do it fairly cheap. it's not SA but it does the job. i'm not planning on dodging bullets though, it'll be on display so i'm really gonna go all out on the back

give me a minute and i'll post the pics

i hope i aint morally wrong posting this stuff of other peoples work...

okies

the back of Chris's prototype shield

he said he is updating this but only for practical purposes, not to be screen accurate

a custoemr shield with customer straps, closer the SA than Chris's, but then he never said he was going to make it SA so i'm cool with that

and this a rough layout that i sent to a laser cutter to see if they could cust the shape out of spun metal, which they can!

it'll then have the straps mounted to it that i'll make myself as close as possible to the movie, the JB Weld that mutha' down!!

also note: No grooves on the back, this is because Chris thinks the movie version is made of seperate rings that are coloured seperately. i have no idea, but this makes sense. i'm gonna look at ways of grooving the back of it

Agree hammer is ok can't really see much
The shield looks like a cheap toy that might be a compliment

What is MR looking at they ____ing blind

It gives the wieght and dimensions on sideshow I believe, then choose your shipping site and plug in the info - should be close to what you would be on the hook for.

It looks good, but if the measurements are accurate.... "the hammer head itself is approximately 8 inches long, 5 inches wide"....it's going to be way too small. :( It's a shame.

I thought this as well, but when I did some measurement based on the image supplied, the length of the hammer head was actually just over half the length of the entire hammer itself

This sounds about right to me, and the picture of the prototype also appears to be in proportion. I'm willing to bet the specs they've posted aren't at all accurate

I hope you're right, as I do like the look of it and the base...but I'm not willing to pay $400+ or risk a $40 NRD on a Mjolnir that is too small. And based on their previous releases...I believe it will be small. I had that one and wasn't happy at all.
It should be around the measurements of the Dr. Pepper hammer which looks great in hand, 9 1/2" long, 5 3/4 wide and 18" tall. This new one seems to have around the same dimensions of the Disguise Hammer and it's small, but it does look good in the hand of my 4 year old! MR really needs to get their crap in order....

EDIT: Looking at the Scale Representations pop up...it's 17" on the stand.....jeesh!
