Congrats!!!!! I know you've been waiting on this one for a while.

And I cast my vote for Han in Carbonite as well. That is actually the only one of the bunch that has ever tempted me.

Well, one of these days I might spring for a Han in Carbonite, but I need to recover from the cost of this guy right now so no more life-size statue purchases for the forseeable future. :)

Hey Brent,
where did you find him? Im always curious who is letting go of these limited beauties. Im in the market for Han myself - but have no idea where to look other than the 'bay.

I posted a want ad in the "junkyard" section over at the RPF(Replica Prop Forum) and a member responded stating that he'd been thinking about selling this statue for a while now. He'd just never actually put it up for sale officially. We got to talking and were able to hammer out a deal. If you're looking for a Han, you might want to check over there and possibly the classifieds at Rebelscum as that's where I found my Fett two years ago. Every once in a while they do pop up on eBay as well so if you keep your eyes peeled I'm sure you'll be able to find one. I believe they made 2,500 of them so there are a few floating around out there and I'll be sure to let you know if I find one available for sale.

Congrats Brent, they look amazing:rock... Who makes them, and how many other characters is there other than the one's you have?

That's awesome, man! I always thought it would be cool to have one of those stormtroopers on each side of the entrance to the "collectibles room."

Thanks, man. The Stormtrooper and Boba Fett were done by Don Post Studios in the mid-to-late 1990's. Don Post also did a C-3PO and R2-D2 which are virtually impossible to find nowadays. In fact, I've heard that if you ever could locate a C-3P0 it would take somewhere in the neighborhood of $15-20k to buy it. Thankfully the trooper didn't cost me anywhere near that much.

i'd like to get a life sized seven of nine. now that's an eye opener! :monkey5 must have set you back a pretty penny. enjoy it.

Well, since I've given the spotlight to Fett and the Stormtrooper, I figured I might as well give the Dark Lord his due as well. Here's my life-size Vader statue:

very excellent 1:1's! i purchased a set of stormtrooper armor but the mannequin i have doesn't quite fit right.

Actually, a few months ago I considered going the mannequin/armor route as I was convinced I wouldn't ever find one of these Don Post statues for sale again. I was in contact with a guy over at the RPF(where I eventually found my DP statue) who was capable of doing the job, but he wanted way too much money for the armor and mannequin IMHO. I also had concerns about getting the armor to fit right and he even admitted to me that he couldn't guarantee it would be a perfect fit on the mannequin when I received it. I know it can be done because I've seen a lot of nice displays, but I think it takes a bit of work to make it right. Good luck.

Awesome, that Stormy should flank Vader - yeah?

You can't beat the 1:1 collectibles. :rock

,..nice,...,..don't dig the vader too much,...but boba and trooper looks cool,....

Well, Vader was my very first life-size SW replica and even though he's not 100% screen accurate I still think he looks pretty damn impressive. Honestly, I don't think that picture does the statue justice as it looks much better in person.

I don't think that pic does him justice honestly. In fact, most people like him better than all my other pieces. It's probably because........well, he's Darth Freakin' Vader!!!

,..,,ive seen it in person too,...,,and never liked it,...it's just too damn inaccurate,...and thin,...principally when you look at the awesome vaders that people build nowdays,.....cool that you like it,....
,,..now the trooper and boba i think looks cool,....enen though not too accurate,.....

Well, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Personally, I like the Vader and that's all that matters to me. Screen accuracy, as I've said earlier in this thread, doesn't mean squat to me. Most people are complimentary enough to actually enjoy these types of things without nit-picking. To each their own.
