Build progress on my custom Avengers Diorama

My hands are so sore... (from pinching foam pieces off) :(

Poses are not final, just for reference.

Thanks :) I'll disguise and break the lines up with more rocks and debris......so it doesn't look so 'stacked' on the right.

Re: Build progress on my custom Avengers Diorama

Looking great; adding any metal debris...rebar?

Re: Build progress on my custom Avengers Diorama

Yes. I'm trying to add the depth of the backdrop, brought into dimension forward. So there will be other 'stuff' in the debris.

Looks awesome Craig! Keep up the good work! Can't wait for the final product!

Re: Build progress on my custom Avengers Diorama

Look into textured paints for some of the surfaces. I've used a can of Krylon Granite to make some 1/6 outdoor tables, stands, and other things for texture.
I sprayed over acrylic to make them. I even made a couple of bell jar displays for the Orb from GotG. I'm working some other things for Loki's staff, The Aether, and I'm making a display stand for my own Tesseract. I'll add some photos when I can.
Ryan

Patio table - Can't remember the height, but it would be a seated table. 3" top and 2" base

End tables or display stands - 4" tall, 2" top and 1" base

Bistro table - 8" tall, 4" top and 2" base. Outdoor standing type table.

Orb container - 1.25" clear acrylic tube. 1.25" acrylic disc for top and bottom to seal. Orb rests in a 1" outside diameter ring with 1/2" center. The ring is glued in place to connect the top and bottom pieces together because the ring is 1" OD and the tube is 1" ID. It's a perfect friction fit. Painted the base matte black. Just made another one with a granite base.

Re: Build progress on my custom Avengers Diorama

There's a few texture paints that work great. Tamiya makes some fantastic ones. I can get you the link if you like. Lots of companies use them to, including hot toys, so it would match some of their products.

Re: Build progress on my custom Avengers Diorama

just a quick thought I had...u could prob make a sick civil war diorama, Craig. any temptation there? the CW figures should be ready to come out surely after u have completed this project :p

Re: Build progress on my custom Avengers Diorama

Thanks on the paint suggestions: If I go that route I'll check into them. I think I can hand paint with what I've got already bought.......I'll see as I go.

The tables looks great. Thumbs up.

Re: Build progress on my custom Avengers Diorama

Who knows, maybe I'll be inspired and do something. Excited for the movie! And OMG Deadpool is gonna rock.

Re: Build progress on my custom Avengers Diorama

I used Krylon Granite to paint the styrofoam HPP HOA Bays for my wine cellar. The stuff looks just like concrete when it dry.
