A townhouse is bigger than a van. :dunno :rotfl

...but the dog would spend a lot of time running from creepy ghosts, cooky creepers, and scary spooks. Also, the dog would get to frequent the malt shop.

This is true! And he would get to hang with some celebs on special episodes. :lecture

Picked zeus up last night. He jumped on me and hugged me and seemed 80% his old self again. Thanks for the good wishes everyone.

Hooray for second opinions! :yess:

Glad to see this thread has actually taken on a life of it's own. :)

:fireworks AWESOME! :fireworks

I agree. I would feel more secure knowing how this happened so we could feel like we are empowered to at least try and prevent it. The xray was inconclusive so she is thinking it might have been cloth that he ate. I am just hoping whatever it is passes.

I'm glad he's better now!!!

So, now that he's ____ them out, can I have my hobbit's clothes?

:D

People can do whatever they want, but I'll pay whatever it takes if my dog is sick and he can get better. My dog has been sick with demodex since June and he's now on the mend. I'm sure a lot of people would've put him down due to expense and the fact that it took a lot of time and patience to get through this, but he did and he's doing so much better. If there would ever come a time where I couldn't help a pet that could be helped, then I would give him up, hoping that they could help him then adopt him out. I'm glad that there are other options now.

But as of today, if I can afford expensive toys and statues, then I can afford to take care of my dog. If I'm not willing to do that, then I shouldn't own a pet. Pets are not just disposable playthings, but living, breathing creatures that you take responsiblity for when you take them into your family. Granted, my dog is not my child, but he's the closest thing to it and I love him to death.

right there with you Ween, my dogs arent children but I too, love em to death and would probably do whatever it took to not loose them. one my dogs had heartworm disease 8 or so months ago and he's all better and out of danger now, but then again the medication and treatment wasnt that expensive.....sort of.

Glad your dog is on the mend and it was'nt more serious.

I have had to get a dog put down in the past and it was'nt an easy decision or due to finances but was in the dogs best interest and broke my heart as we had him for 15 years.

I'm glad you got some info on the finacial help thats available out there as vets bills are expensive.
In this country we have a problem with people buying "staffs" and other "dangerous" dogs being bought for protection and as fashion items and then discarded when the owners ca'nt be bothered.
Alot of healthy dogs are being destroyed/put down as there is just not the resources to keep them all.
Ridiculous situation and not right.

The old saying "a dog is not just for christmas" is lost on many of the chav generation.:(

It's the same over hear. The only exception is our gangsta's prefer the pit bull. :rotfl

Over here its mostly plastic gangsters that have dogs:)
Pit bulls are also illegal, so they breed them with other dogs so they are not pure pit bulls.

Why are pits illegal? It's not the dog, but the owners.

Do they use them for fighting over there too?

It is partially the dogs. They were bred to be aggressive so it's in their blood. However since humans bred them I guess it's still our fault.

Pitt bulls should be wiped out.

I totally disagree! I know people who have pitbulls and they're the nicest, sweetest dogs. They've gotten a bad rep is all.

There are a lot of aggressive breeds but pit bulls have been singled out because of dog fighting.
