My first custom - Dengar

Thanks everyone for all the positive comments. Just a quick update, I haven’t had much time to work on him lately, but I’ve finished the head wrap and done his shoes, I have the lower leg wraps almost finished, then it’s just the holster and belt…find some nice pouches….add straps to the armour…a little work on his rifle…and a tidy here and there and some weathering. There are probably more things that I don’t like about it than things I do and I’ll probably revisit it down the line. Just got some sculpey now and can’t put it down, but boy is sculpting difficult!

Thanks guys, hope to get it finished soon and move on to my second figure.

For the head wraps I used material from a sling from my broken arm..... that goes with my broken back....... Once I got the shape I wanted, I weathered it and added a wash of pva to keep everything where I wanted it but still look like cloth.

The holster and blaster that I used are from Bespin Han, but when I find the right pouches I'm gonna simplify the belt and repaint it.

Hi Guys, Mark kindly told me tonight how to attach better pictures rather than just the smaller thumbnails, hope I've done it right as I'm not really up to speed on the tech stuff. Here are some close ups of the Dengar I'm working on, just a few little things to finish.

Thanks galactiboy, the head is sideshow civil war 2nd wisconsin ironbrigade, the nude figures come up every now again on ebay. I'm going to post some pics now of how I'm getting on so far, I'd love any suggests you have. I'm working on the footwear next and love what chakaman has done with his armour.

This was my first and only ever custom. Mark and Wanderer have a great idea for this guy on the Snow Corporation thread, I thought I'd just resurrect this one to stir up a little interest for anyone thinking of having a go at Dengar.
