Why couldn't you stand it?

maybe you watched the wrong eps as introduction, can you remember anything of the eps?
my favorites are; party of one, sonic rainboom, feeling pinkie keen, the return of harmony (pilot eps), and lesson zero

its just a feel good show, didnt it make you feel happy when you were watching it? the show is funny, it has great artwork and animation, quality writing and well-developed plot elements, and as for characters, making every individual pony likeable, believable, and important. while in the old series, the G1 ponies are like all recolors of each other. you couldn’t tell one girl character from another. this new series has so many unique and important designs and personalities that not all of them can fit into the spotlight, and hence even the background ponies, such as (fan-given names) Derpy Hooves, Lyra, Bon-bon, and Dr. Whoof, have distinguishable traits and even though their stories, and even names, are not covered in the official series, the characters stand out enough that fans will give these nameless characters names and stories and personalities and all sorts of other important traits so that by the end of it you’d think they’re part of the lineup of protagonists.

no doubles used here but the design for the ponies pretty much look all the same and this is not only with the background ponies but with the main characters too.

the hairstyles are pretty much all the same

just a bunch of recolors... the people back than must've been a lazy crew if you ask me. they probably ran on the theory "kids'll watch anything whatever we give them, so lets not put in any amount of effort whatsoever” and that wasnt the case with lauren faust.

what got me hooked on the show is how well i could relate myself with one of the mane 6 ponies, pinkie pie and she's so silly that i just wanted to see what she was up to in the other eps. each character have a million expressions and because of that they're well suited for images. They just say so much with them.

The first two episodes are the weakest. You should try episodes like Bridle Gossip, Feeling Pinkie Keen, Sonic Rainboom, Stare Master, A Dog and Pony Show, etc.

I bought myself a Pinkie Pie Christmas tree decoration for half off for my tree this year!

My step dad gave me a tree just for me a few years ago and I've been filling it up with geek stuff.

I've got Spiderman, Megatron (G1) Optiums Prime (Bayformer/talks) Star Wars ships, Star Wars charaters (nothing says Christmas like a big fat Jabba in your tree) Super Mario, Superman plus others. So Pinkie will be nice addition.

Yeah, the first 2 episodes suck. Watch 1 or 2 more of the regular episodes and you"ll be hooked.

There is a very good through-line in the series so its good to watch them in order.

Nah it's massed produced. I got it at Carlton Cards which is the Canadian version of American Greeting (same company different name)

I got a tip on some MLP website that they were hitting at half price $13 cdn so I was at the mall and checked out the Carlton Cards and they had a bunch.

It looks really nice. It's molded hair and is fairly show accurate. It features a winter theme as she is wearing a scarf and is holding up a snowflake.

I think that'll start happening more often now that they've all been given the letter-writing assignment.

I freaking love Rarity, and this week's was awesome. I'm almost as big a fan of Applejack, which made it that much better. Haven't enjoyed an episode like that since the slumber party at Twilight's house.

This is the funniest thread ever. I haven't laughed at a computer screen in so long. At first... I thought it was a joke. A not funny joke. But then I realized it wasn't a joke. So it was funny that grown men were advocating for this show and discussing it. Then all the people that are sticking up for it with amusing images of the ponies piqued my interest. I might give it a whirl when there's absolutely nothing better to watch or do.

I get enough crap for watching "Gargoyles" and "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and those were made for boys. Haha.
