Looks like a winner. Hopefully Sideshow will make more armor characters from Star Wars and released much earlier. Medicom is too expensive for my taste.

Thanks Michael

Great review... even though I've already had the figure for a few days I was still looking forward to your review. He really is a great figure and if Sideshow can just tighten up the body a bit their future armored figures will be awesome!

Vader is one I'm concerned about though, as they may learn how to correct issues from this body before the Stormtroopers arrive I hope they can apply the same lessons to the modified body used for Vader.

Great review.

One minor correction though, the body suit is brown not black as you called it in the review.

You sure you're reading my review? :D I mentioned that the body suit was black at least twice...but I can't find anywhere that I refered to it as brown.

I think that's his point. The actual body suit isn't black. It's a dark, chocolate brown.

Wow, four stars overall. I respect your reviews, as you'll only dole those out when appropriate. I canceled my order since I don't do SW, so hopefully this level of quality makes it into the SS LOTR line and the HT Marvel line, although I'm pretty happy with the SS LOTR line most recent additions.

Edit: but i had to pick up Vader

4 stars for a figure, a brand new staple figure with loose joints? Really? I would think that would warrant a 3.5 at most. Otherwise i seem to agree with most of it nice pictures.

Nice review Mike...I gotta say I agree with most of what you said but not about the Medi armor not being as good. I guess its a matter of preference really. Seems to me, Medi's approach was to make their clones look more screen accurate by having tighter spaces between the armor plates and between the armor and the actual under body. SSC's spaces between the armor is spaced out further apart and the armor fits more loosely on the under body which is slightly less screen accurate but it allows for greater poseability.

I've never had much problem getting my Medi figs into most positions but the Clone Obi does get those poses much easier.

I was surprised to see 4 stars on the paint, given your figure seems to have a stray black/brown mark directly beneath his left eye and what would seem to be a pretty bad case of lip-stickitis (the severity admittedly reduced by the colour of the surrounding beard, but they still seem pretty heavily applied to me). Still, love reading your reviews as always.
