The perfect 1:6 company:

Enterbay sculpting and painting headsculpts (look at these, nuff said)
Hot Toys making the bodies (nothing beats the truetype yet)
Sideshow distributing and pricing these (they are still the best priced figures right now)
Medicom making the clothes? (HT/EB are pretty good though)

I wouldn't necessarily give Enterbay headsculpt duty. Its become a huge HT strongpoint...same with the clothes....and the accessories....and the TrueType.

So ultimately Hot toys remains the best.

pretty good review. i like that you mentioned that Kiefer Sutherland got drunk a few years ago and destroyed an action figure prototype. i remember he talked about that on Leno or Letterman. he said he felt real bad cuz the sculpter worked for a year on it and now he had to resculpt it. i thought it was hillarious.

Where are people buying the medicom figure?

Also, any sites you would recommend to buy 1/6 clothes for Jack? I've heard of one sixth depot, though I don't know if it's been hit with this credit card fraud/scam that's been circulating the forums...?

Jack's giraffe neck ruins the figure. Palmer is too tall and not bulky enough.

Great review. I plan to give Jack the shotgun and handgun from HT Leon R4. But I'm concerning about giving 'a bit too large weapon' to 'a bit too slim' Jack. Any idea?

PS: Where is my Jack T_T

Just put in a request with toys2 to cancel Palmer. My reasons thus:

1) the figure is too short
2) the head is too short both compared to Haysbert and to the jack figure (almost looks like a different scale - changing it onto a taller body will not be an option)
3) the suit, shirt&tie are possibly not the best we've ever seen
4) no accessories
5) I can live with not having palmer to go with Jack - Jack is really all I need to represent '24' in my figure collection - he'll be flanked by McFarlanes 7'' efforts
6) I'm also buying the medicom figure to steal the outfit
7) I'm spending an absolute fortune

1) Product information states figure is 31-5 cm, in product information.
2) Who the hell is Haysbert. Almost is not quite. No one can control what you do with a figure after you have received it. Not all figures are able to be changed onto a taller body. This isn't a criteria for purchasing a figure.
3) The suit, shirt & tie are possibly not the worst we've ever seen either, but what has that got to do with anything. Pics have been up for a good while now. No one said it was going to be the best suit ever mass produced.
4) All items included with the figure were stated in advance.
5) Why did you pre-order it in the first place?
6) That is your perogative.
7) You have the money or you wouldn't have pre-ordered it.

Your cancellation fee will be doubled for being irresponsible and lame. So says the figure Nazi. No joy for you.

Yes I'm being satirical, though, none of those are valid reasons for cancellation, other than stating the obvious, which is, you've had a change of heart after reading the opinions of others. I'm sure Toys 2 will look after you in any event.

lol those are exactly the reasons why I won't ever pre-order from a place, that requires a cancellation fee :lol.

I didn't find any issue with the length of the neck either.

I didn't either. The neck is the perfect length, it's just very noticeable because he's just wearing a skintight shirt. In a suit or jacket the neck would get good coverage.

Jack's giraffe neck ruins the figure. Palmer is too tall and not bulky enough.

This is the first time I've heard anybody say this about Palmer. You do realize Haysbert is almost 6'5" don't you.

I just want the Bauer head. I wish I could just buy that. Everything else about the figure is fairly mediocre.

It's not the length of the neck that bothers me, it's that there is no articulation at the torso/base of the neck, so it looks so awkward when his head is turned and his adam's apple is still pointing straight ahead.

I got mine in yesterday, didn't futz with it too much, but got the weapons I ordered for him in today too and took it out. Looking at it in the box I was super impressed, and loved the hell out of it, then I made the mistake of taking it out.

Enterbay loves to brag about their paint-jobs and likeness, but WHY CAN'T THEY CONQUER THE PROBLEM OF GRAVITY?!

Jesus Christ, after all the money they like to charge for a figure that comes with NOTHING, they sure don't like to ensure, god forbid, the product be able to stand for more than 15 seconds. I'm fed up with Enterbay, out of all the product of theirs I've purchased ONE has had no problem what-so-ever standing up(Jet-Li). If the shoes I ordered for Jack don't help I'm getting rid of it. Enterbay can eat ^^^^, I'm done ordering their products until they learn how to make figures that can stand.

As for the issues you have with the body, I'm 99% sure Enterbay's body is more for aesthetics instead of functionality, so the lack of poses you can get out of it doesn't bother me a bit.

I was going to order combat boots for mine, good job i didn't - He's tiny in comparison to other figures & i'm sure sure most 1/6th scale clothing would drown him !, luckily i had a female Dragon figure & the combats from that were just the right size - this hasn't helped him stand up on his own though.

my jack has been kicking gravity's ass for 2 days now. :D

j/k, I know how frustraiting that can be, certainly almost all my ssc can't stand w/o the stand. (which is part of the reason they have gone the way of dodo)

I think its not easy like RAH301 or HT TT, but once you find the correct balance and position for the subpar ankles jack can stand w/o problem.
