i would love to get my SIM painted red & gold if only the lights could be changed from red to yellow, or even orange.

If I remember right their was a guy on SF that replaced his red lenses with some recast amber colored ones.

Mookey?
i don`t know really..the color that my friend added its kinda mixed with small marbles .. which already makes it a little bit metallic .. i think if he put gloss on it will be too shiny,,,but i really want to hear and other thoughts about the gloss.
so far i didn`t manage to get a picture side by side with the iron man LSB...just to check the gloss..

yeah i know of him but he's not doing anymore repaints last i heard. and no other painter seems willing to get into recasting resin lens covers to change the color.

Seond that :rock

Darth Maul, any inputs on how long the repainting process actually took (start to finish) & how much it cost you ???

it took around 24 days and the total cost was 250 $ . fair price i think.
if you calculate how much it cost me to get the sim from a fellow freak here and the repaint cost ..its the same price to find an original comiquette but with so much fakes in the market i took a second thought and i said why not?
i gained a piece that was one of my dream collectible and with lights!!!:chew
now i`m in thoughts for that gloss i can`t imagine right now how it could be little more shiny if you see the color in person it has a feeling of metal and i`m afraid that with the gloss it`s going to look like plastic,,my thought though..

It would look no more plastic than the original Red & Gold.

i hope for it !!! because if i ask for gloss there is no turning back..i think...if you add gloss on it its easy then to be removed ??
