Didnt realise Paul you were an artist, nor did I realise you were a fantastically talented artist

you must have done something like this before to make something as realistic as that ?

can we see the previous stuff and can we also get a pic of this sculpt from further away, one that will fit fully in a browser window ?

Did the expanding foam fully cure? I've heard people using that stuff for vinyl models and having bad results, the foam expanding and splitting the vinyl.

Thank you for all your kind words Guys, its nice to have something that you've spent a lot of time on appreciated. Its still unfinished. There was more damage sculpted to the top of the right part of the head but after a while of staring it at it you have to have a break away. It was originally for someone for a full mannequin but they lost touch and I lost interest in it after that. If anyone was interested in one I could finish it up and mould it? I was toying with the idea of removing the sculpted hair and applying mohair or similar.

To answer a couple of questions: with expanding foam you have to be careful. I had the vinyl skull supported so that it didn't warp when it started to get warm. It will mould quite well as the clay doesn't need to cure to take a mould from. The clay can be re-used after this for other projects if need be.

Mooncat , I'll see what I can do about pictures of this as it is now when the weather gets a bit better. Its absolutley pouring it down here today.

sorry, forgot a couple of answers. I can't recall how long I've put into it, all I can say is that I've put in a few late nights

To paint it? Well if anyone wants one I'll cast it in fibreglass so that really any kind of plastic paints can be used. It will be hollow so that you can insert a glass eye if you like. ( I have a couple here that are perfect . )

To really finish it off you could always add part of a t-shirt around the neck and maybe a collar from a leather jacket ?
