I bet it also starts with something other than OCC (which I guess is online comic con) so it should be different than the ones just given away.

Did he actually get chared the $20? Over the 4 days mine was processing my shipping went from $7.50 to $25 back down to $7 when it shipped.

I was curious about the rules for this promo and found the full Terms as listed below from SSC:

Can't say I'm itching to spend an extra $20, or whatever it is, in shipping just to get a bag and key chain and a t-shirt that would be way too big on me anyways. Just stuff that I don't need nor have interest in. The GC would be nice though. I wonder if Sideshow could just throw a GC in with any in-stock purchases made this month?

I think they might, that might be part of the swag is tossing a GC in there.

Guys the $20 shipping drops off. My shipping charges went from $20 to $9. Can't wait to see what I get! It's like Christmas!

We'll see what happens for me. I just ordered a Big Baby 1/4 scale and hit the Swag button and my shipping came up as $9.89 which is a few dollars short of what I usually pay.

I have a friend in the hobby located in the middle of the US who clicked Yes for the free swag bag using a gift card to order, the amount ended up being less than the required amount needed to qualify so they auto deleted the swag bag from the person's cart but left the 20.00 USD shipping charge there anyway.

Not sure if SST simply charges that much to ship a 4-5 pound box from CA to the middle of the US or if they rated the weight of a boxed 1/6th figure along with the swag bag weight, then deleted the swag bag and just never changed the shipping. Curious if they will change shipping cost on their own, if they do that, or if the person has to manually call them to see if its supposed to be adjusted.

I really like SST as a fan friendly company with all the contests and Spooktacular and whatnot, but I do wish they had a better cart system. If the swag was never going to qualify anyway for the person after the gift card use ( not everyone reads the fine print, but they should to be fair about it), it shouldn't have been cartable in the first place IMHO. But again, to be fair, the use of gift cards is a really generous thing on SST's part for it's fans.

His shipping we be adjusted. The Promo item is offered after you add an eligible item to your cart. The discount is allowed right before check out so the cart has no way of knowing prior to offering you the promo that you will be using a discount no can it yank the item at that point, which is why we will remove it manually and adjust any ship costs.

We are very upfront about how much you have to spend to qualify, the amount is part of the main offer text and not the fine print. While I know people hate to read, if you read the first few sentences enough to know you can get something for free, you have already read that part about how much you need to spend!

Based upon the Terms that say it must be at least $20 the answer would be Nope, sorry:slap.

SSC Chicky,
Thanks for the info! And I don't mind at all paying a little more for shipping for some goodies, and even a lot more for a big goodie .

I got a $15 GC with my Rocketeer PF today, not too bad considering they will be combinable soon. :yess:

Yea, understandable. I got a Mort coming so they could pack me up!

Does mort have his own sized (print) shipper box? I am pretty sure gohan came with a generic non-print shipper. Thus SS could stuff it well.
