Very thoughtful of you.... But it seems like this shouldn't be too hard for people to acquire, since a lot of people seem to be canceling. I just wish other people had this generous mentality with other PF's

I think this is a GREAT piece and can't wait to get it! I love the sculpt, the pose, the face, the size of the piece, everything! I even think it works without the trident. I'm really surprised at the lack of love this piece gets.

I hope Sideshow doesn't get discouraged with the poor reception this piece is getting on this board. Some of the SS Marvel pieces have gotten me down, especially the Spider-Man stuff they've done, but as a classic Marvel fan I am thrilled by this Sub-Mariner figure!

My guess is that they were waiting to see how many people ordered it. So far the regular is not sold out and many are talking of cancellations. Not too many collectors are thrilled by the pose and other things. Perhaps a different pose and costume would have gotten more takers. A similar situation existed when PF Hulk came out and a lot of people were not jumping on it, hell, after receiving mine I went back and ordered another green Hulk for my brother after being on a wait list for a week. At first the green Hulk was not loved but a time drew on collectors had a change of heart. Namor may or may not be like this and only time will but I give ole fish face a chance.

Are you willing to bet a 100 GC that the reg sells out this year ? IMo, they dropped the ball on that one. W/O the Trident the sculpt dosen't look right right. Thing is going to have new neighbors for a very long time.

I agreed. With trident, this piece looks better!!

If I could predict what the economy will be in a years time I would be the worlds greatest money investor but sadly I'm not. Namor may or may not sell out by December but I believe that is very dependant on the economy turning around and the power of the sculpt.

I love the character, but this interpretation just doesn't look right to me. If it had been a PF rather than a Comiquette (I know, I know, the only real items that could have been done mixed media are the trunks, belt and wrist bands!) I probably would have kept it.

I really want to keep this one. i think it will be a winner. It captures the power of the character IMHO. Probably going to sell my Bowen Classic Namor. Let's face it, no person needs two Namors in a collection.

When are we going to see the updated photos for him? SS has to have an actual production sample if these are going to be shipping in a few weeks. I know that SS has a lot of items shipping soon--hope they can update some photos.

just look at blade/dracula that one only had as es of 400 and it's been on SC for quite a long time.
plus it's a way better done piece imo.

That's is simply due to character choice. Namor is a power house in the Marvel universe, Blade-not really. May have a better following, may sell better.
