Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!
Love the Luke figure. So much so that I've ordered that head from eBay. Also great work on the Sandie. The orange pauldron trooper just stands out more than the rest. He's probably in my top 3 figures that I own.
Great weathering on the Sand trooper!
Sandtrooper and Luke look great Nate. I've actually been doing the same thing with putting together a Sandtrooper from parts I've bought here and there. I need to put him together and post him here. Maybe we could start a trend of Do-It-Yourself Sandtrooper building??
yeah I have done the same thing with my sandtrooper as well. collecting parts here and there. I now have a desert sands trooper and still have the marmit squad leader to put together yet. that should give me 5 sandies.
Thanks Chris. I actually watched a video that I think you made a while back on the sandie weathering. It made me alter mine quite a bit Originally it was a lot more muddy/oily.Sandtrooper and Luke look great. Nice job.

He's done...He's finally done. I've been picking up pieces and working on this guy for a few months now. He's a total kitbash. Some genuine SSC bits, some cast SSC bits, some genuine Marmit bits, some cast Marmit bits, some other odds and ends from DID etc and some custom stuff. I'm pretty happy. Not totally screen accurate I know, I was using the "How long have you had these droids" trooper as a base. I think the orange pauldron is more iconic and thats what I wanted. The T-21 is pretty badass so I wanted to use one of those. This one is a Lewis machine gun from DID I think that I modified. Not the SSC version. Weathering...Oh the weathering...took me all day yesterday and all last night to get it looking the way it is now. Still may be a tweak here and there, but I'm happy
Whatcha think? Again sorry for the crap pics/harsh lighting!
FIXEDWow, thanks man. Thats funny.
I had almost forgot that I posted a few youtube videos a while back. That one is probably 3 years old. I am glad it inspired you to make yours.
I should do some updated videos. I have done some more work on my Sandies since then.
You guys got a link for these videos? I'd be interested to check them out.
