Finally finished Fozec. I only had one good screenshot of the bottom of his staff so I did the best I could. And I just realized that I didn't even take any pics of it. D'oh!

A few updates...

Did some minor work on Boba. Had originally planned on doing a full body swap, but once I got into it, dealing with the feet and hand pegs I said screw it. Instead I gave him the same dremel job as the scout trooper so his arms can rest more naturally. Then I re-shaped his ab plate and padded his chest to get rid of the sunken look. I trimmed the foam inside the pockets so they're not quite so puffy and stiff, and gave the wookie braids a water treatment. Those were the only things that bugged me.


Got my Old Ben together. I know...I know...I always said that I preffered the SSC head over the HT head. This is actually one of the knockoffs/factory rejects from ebay. The likeness is not really there, but I repainted the hair and beard which helps a lot I think. Gave him a new body with some padding, re-tailored the collar on the brown shirt. The head, outer robe, and hands are HT, the rest is SSC. I'm happy





New Luke and Leia are on the way.

Yup! Lacks detail, but the likeness is there.

As for Leia, I once though she looked good. Now that HT is coming, this one will be replaced. I might turn this one into a dio of the iconic scene of here on the Tantive crouching beside R2. We'll see.

Really? I hate that head. Its not even close. I only bought it because I didn't have him. This was back in the day when figs were not $300+ each I haven't seen it repainted, though I don't think it would help much.

but... If you do I'll take the HT head off your hands

The old head is more cartoon/caricature, but IMO still has a much better likeness than HT's. Anyway, selling the HT head I hope to pay for the figure (what I paid for the figure that is, after reward points)

Here's what I've been up to these last couple of months.

Fine Molds Delta-7 Aethersprite. Definitely the most intense paint job I've ever done! Used a few of the green decals, but everything else is paint. Anyone who has built this kit knows how many decals you're supposed to apply. Well over 100. Crazy! No LEDs on this one. There is no way to run the wires (cleanly) since the ring is a solid piece.



The following are still WIPs. Exposed wires will all be cleaned up once permanently mounted.

The rest of the kit has amazing detail. Tons of tiny tiny pieces. Not for the beginner, thats for sure.

Amazing work.

Is the Bandai TIE the same as the Fine Molds one? I seem to recall the Fine Molds ones were the best, but yours looks awesome.
