The new Bandai kits are 1:72 if that's what you're interested in. $22 at Amazon for the TIE.

Beautiful work! Your Falcon looks amazing. I should send you mine to finish.

Please post some closer shots of your displayed figures. :)

Well if it makes you feel better :) Fozec, Klaatu and Taym Dren-garen are the last 3 figures I'll be making for the foreseeable future. I'll be concetrating on fixing up some of the figures I already have and building some more models and maybe some more dioramas. Maybe figure out some item or service I can offer to my fellow freaks.

Hi Natedog. Could I ask what you used for your falcon's engine lighting? LED, LED strip, lighting tape, blue gel?
The build looks great!

Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs - What a piece of junk pg55

I built a pie shaped lightbox and lined the inside with reflective material. then placed 12 white 5mm leds in the "pointy" end. For the grill a used the clear plastic that came with the kit and glued a piece of velum to it which has a blue to white to blue gradient printed on it. The grill itself is made from balsa and styrene. I built the grill flat and then soaked it in water and taped it to a regular old plastic bucked for a few days so it would develop a curve. Painted it, then glued it in place. Not too difficult.

Awesome! Makes sense, thanks for sharing.

Fozec, Tayem and Klaatu are still in the works. I'm having a hard time getting back to them as I'm I'm going hardcore on models lately.

I know its not the proper place for this but might as well put everything in one thread. More crappy pics incoming!

Finished this 2 weeks ago. Its the old AMT kit. Not entirely acurate, but pretty nice. I was going to put my 3-3/4" Luke standing next to it, but he's a little bit too big. The base is my baking soda receipe :)

This is what I've been tackling for the last 2 weeks. First time doing fiber optics. Very tedious, but hopefully worth it in the end. I counted them and there are 398. All the ones I found online are all blue lights. I went with RGB LEDs to get a proper nice aqua hue. Of course this meant twice the resistors and twice the soldering. Waiting on some 1mm optics so I can finish the 2 tiny thrusters and I can start putting it all together and start painting.

I also have on order 2 more tie fighters, Vaders tie and another x-wing. I'll be putting together a "I have you know" diorama! :) Stay runed!

Dude that is freaking incedible. Can't wait to see the Star destroyer all finished.

Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs - What a piece of junk pg55

Started working on these guys again. Klaatu is finished

Working on Fozec's staff still and his headwrap. Headwraps are hard to make look realistic!

Same deal with Taym

All of them look very good, that Klaatu is sublime.
