Jamison is pretty decent too. Solid guy on both ends of the floor. IMO they'd probably be better without shaq. That guy is just flat out done.

Yeah, Jamison is a solid player, but he doesnt demand the double team, and he is struggling a little against KG, and nobody else is stepping up to pick up the load. Rondo is a great defensive guy, so they need a solid contribution from that 2 spot, but they dont have anyone except complimentary players. They only need Shaq against Howard and Bynum, thats it.

Well, KG is a hell of a player and gives lots of guys fits. The rest of the team just needs to pick it up and help out. Thats what makes title teams great is the best player doesn't have to play great. The Cavs are good enough but can they find it in themselves at this point of the season to get to it.

The Mavs aren't garbage either. The Spurs know how to get it done in the playoffs. They have vets who know how to win and that does you a lot. Its like a HS or College team that has solid senior leadership. Dallas just doesn't play a style that works well in the playoffs. Its the same thing that has bit the Suns in the ass over the last few years.

Nah, I got your point. Your record in the regular season does mean ____. If it didn't they wouldn't bother seeding these teams. Just because you might lose in the first round doesn't make you garbage. Would you say the same if it was the Lakers or Suns? In this came the lowest seed in this years west race was a team that very easily could have been a much higher seed. There's no shame in losing to the Spurs despite them being the lowest seed. Didn't you say you didn't want your Suns to play them?

If you're style of play doesn't fit well with who you're playing and the coach doesn't make a change. You're team's not garbage but your coach is an idiot. That's the problem for Dalls IMO. Their coach for whatever reason didn't adapt to what was doing on and make a few needed changes. Any coach worth their salt does that.

Veteran teams should know how to get it done in the playoffs. Especially if they have the talent of those teams you just listed.

I do have to agree that the right coach makes a world of difference (obviously lol)...

Mavs never shouldve gotten rid of Avery, not saying he was a great X and O guy but he did have the balls to get up in everyone's face and tell them what they needed to hear. Someone needed to tell Dirk to stop playing soft ball and take it to the basket instead of taking those 20-foot jumpers.

Carlisle never won anything, has always been pretty much a loser everywhere he went and well, end of story....

You can almost predict which team will be in there in the end by looking at what head coach they have. All (or nearly most) NBA Champs have had HOF coaches.

It totally makes a difference. I can say from my own experience coaching that I know when I've been beaten by a better coach or a team with just better players. I like Avery cause he's not afraid to tell his players just that. For me thats how I approach coaching.

Dirk I think needs to be better under the basket but him being able to shoot the rock from the outside is a nice dynamic.

defn.........without Gasol, they would struggle to get home court in the playoffs, hes easily their most important player, not best, but important to them to win another ring.
