the series aint over yet. You forget Boston won with Ariza there as well, so putting it all on Ron isnt logical. Lakers have a lot of talent and a great coach, but if Kobe thinks hes gonna win games by himself, hes kidding himself.

IMO Ariza's shooting was huge last season, while he was less of a factor in 2008. He was a consistent shooter, something the Lakers are missing besides Kobe and Fisher. Part of that reason is Phil doesn't play Farmar enough and play Sasha too much. I agree it's not all Ron's fault, but seeing him throughout his career on some of my favorite teams, he made watching the games hell. The Lakers got Ron for his offense as well as his defense, and he is basically a no show.

Tonight boston puts their foot on la's throat.

20 Bucks on tonights game Mr foot on throat?..

Hi Bodie :wave

:lol:lol:lol:lol

PS: LA suffers from the same weakness they have all year....big starting 5 but no one off the bench that can hold their own. Boston has all the momentum and I expect them to close it out Tuesday night. No game 7 here folks.

3-2 _____es!!!

It's gonna be great to see Boston wrap this up infront of all the LA fans. :lol

Just got to win the next one and go from there.. Lakers are plenty capable to win 2 in a row at home..

Even though we're down we are still considered to have home court advantage, which is a certain advantage.

Series momentum will prolly turn in the 2nd qtr tomorrow if the refs stay out of the fray. Kobe fouls killed game 2 IMO.

But if the Lakers play more as a team, they should take Game 6 and 7. If not, it's already over.

I just hope LA's fickle fans get up for these games, they need to learn a lesson from Boston and OKC. :lecture

I wouldn't say that. I think Boston is better as a team, frankly. They have more depth in that their bench can come in and hang with LA's starters. But LA is more top-heavy since Kobe is the best player in the series, and Pau is arguably 3rd best behind Pierce. After that, the Lakers don't have much IMO. Fisher has a good game here or there, so does Odom. But to overcome the onslaught of Boston's starters and backups will require two outstanding performances in a row, IMO. Particularly from both Kobe and Gasol.

Like I said before, I think it would be foolish to write off the Lakers altogether, but I do think (and hope) that Boston finishes them off.

Well, define better "team." I guess the better team is the team that wins, but if you ranked them from top to bottom, as of right now (not previous series' or the regular season) I think Boston is better because of its depth. If you ranked them based on who has better superstars, I would give Lakers the nod. :huh

But really, it is going to come down to which team executes in the next two games. Talent or no, you have to play better than the other team.

I said if the Lakers play better/more AS A TEAM. More balanced...

Not hard to figure that one out. :lol
Like I said, as of this moment, I the Lakers are more imbalanced because they have two big stars who they have to rely on, and a pretty noticeable drop-off from there. The Celtics have more pretty good, B-level players. If the Lakers play better "as a team" than they did in their previous games, but Kobe and Gasol aren't involved, they could win, but only if the Celtics role players don't show up, IMO. Of course, the Celtics still need at least one guy to really show up on a given night. Pierce can't afford to take another night off.

Could we see another 39 point blow-out to win the title by Boston over LA? That would be historic :lol Won't happen though since LA is at home but it would still be pretty funny if the Lakers get blown out in game 6 by more than 15.

Ya would be hilarious.. *eye roll*

This is why home court is important..

The shorter boston team got all the hustle plays and basically had a lay up drill against us..

I look for us to play taller, volleyball the ball a bit more and knock rondos ass on his back when he enters the lane for a lay up..

This is it.

Most of the Lakers fans I know are actually displaying humility and concern now instead of the usual brashness. This actually has me worried about Games 6 & (possibly) 7.

Larry Ridley, a reporter for Channel 7 in Boston just posted on Twitter that the NBA has been rehearsing the trophy presentation ceremonyfor the Celtics, 'several times'. WTF.

yeah thats not cool. ill admit it that it looks like if the rest of the team doesnt step up like Kobe they will lose, but thats really pre mature of the NBA to assume the Celtics will win:cuckoo:

Wonder if Ray Allen will find his three point shot in LA? After making seven in a row and eight overall, Allen has missed all 21 of his attempts.
