They never "had a chance". The Nuggets wouldn't touch Bynum with a 10 foot pole. The Nuggets can't afford injury prone players.

hmm according to ESPN sources the deal was near done but the Lakers ownership nixed the deal.

just watched the clip of the bynum foul. wow...what a dirty, dangerous cheap shot. i though lakers players had class..this is not the team of magic johnson. and for the guy to say in post game interviews that he was happy with the foul...:slap:slap

Feel bad for Kobe and Phil watching everyone else quit. I about fell over when I saw the score at half and couldn't believe what I was hearing on radio.

At first, I though it was the Santa Ana winds kicking up. But, no. It was just the vehicle and property owners of Los Angeles breathing a collective sigh of relief.

Bring us Dwight Howard and Chris Paul and build from there...I doubt that will happen, but anyway...

Yeah because the Lakers always have to be good? They should just rape every team till the end of time. then when their players get worn out, it's okay, lets just get other good players. Why I hate the Lakers, no other team seemingly gets handed good players like they do. I hope they don't make the playoffs for ten years straight. I mean, damn, is anyone in LA a Clippers fan? Or does everyone just enjoy routing for a overpowerd "dynasty?"

Still the best organization in basketball. We'll. Be back. What a dissapointment for PJs farewell. Quite honestly I don't care who swine aside frommiami at this point. Weird to be out of it so early. I LOVE YOU LAKERS. NO SPORTS FOR ME TILL NOVEMBER

Don't underestimate the Lakers ability to make these kind of things to happen

I don't underestimate them, but it would be a stupid move plain and simple for Orl. Orl would get Pau (who never won a game in the playoffs before LA and is soft), Bynum (who can't go a year without injury) and Odom (who would be just an above average player if he is the #1 or #2 option player on a team, he's not a go to player).

If Thorpe has a brain, he will trade the whole roster to go get Paul and build around those 2 guys, unless he wants to make Orl the most embarrassing franchise ever for letting Shaq and Howard go to LA. A big man like Howard only comes around once a decade. If LA wants to throw in Kobe too, then maybe Orl has a year or two to win something, but we all that would never happen. Orl has to act quick cause LA will prolly push to trade for either of those guys, to lure the other one in free agency.

No worse feeling than when your team bets bounced early especially when they have talent and should go further :(

Could be worse, you could be a Knicks fan

Just like game one. Good enough to win and bad enough to loose which we did, hawks shot crazy again open or not, and these refs ass raped us tonight. I'd like for once to see Chicago get treated in a good way by the refs.

Good to finally see Boozer bring his game to this round, but Korver and Deng let the team down tonight.

Hopefully the Bulls get their A-game back in Chicago.

Also, I can't say that I've ever seen a foul called, only to wave it off and give the ball to the fouling team. What a cluster bomb. :slap:lol

The hand out for Tuesday night....

Should have given it to us tonight. :lol Again, I don't mind if they're bad on both sides of the court but we got homered really bad the last 5-6 mintues of the game.

Maybe the NBA can start a ship-to-home program for away fans. :lol

That no call was huge. I know bad calls happen, but wowzers. That will rank up there with the greats....his greats, that is. I think he owns like 5 of the top 10 bad calls of all time. :lol

Luckily, it wasn't a Game 7 or Finals game.
