NBA Playoffs '08

This Series is already a Classic Hype fest. Best thing that could have happened for the NBA. With Larry and Magic nostalgia playing into it and the long slog back for the Celts franchise, plus the Boston 3 Party and NBA MVP going at it, we can only hope for some drama here.

Game 1 is gonna be absolutely nuts. If the Lakers somehow take it, watch out.

Just sucks that all the games are starting after 9 pm and none of them will end before midnight here. And no games on Friday or Saturday are going to make for some long nights here.

I'll have to put my phone on mute if the Lakers win as I'm sure some bastard will be calling me drunk off his ass

The big advantages for the Lakers in this series is

A) We have Kobe they don't
B) Lakers are worlds deeper
C) Lakers coaching staff makes Bostons look amateur

I said before lakers in 5 or six, I change that to Lakers in 5. Boston is good enough to win 1. This is ending in LA where it belongs.

Thats just the thing.. I don't think Boston is as good as everyone claims..Sure they had a great reg season (so what) and beat us twice (so what, pre-Pau). W/ Pau healthy in our line up we are something like 37-7.. Look at them sputter and almost lose to the HAWKS and the CAvs.. They both took them to 7 and they could not win on the road and VERY easily could have lost a few at home to those guys, I mean it was a matter of a few missed lay ups..

I agree with ou 100%. Also, had the Celts been in the western conference they'd probably be like a 5 or 6 seed, they can thank the weak sauce eastern conference for their #1 seed.

I think he is like Ginobili in that respect, just not as good.

Ginobili has alot more dimension to his game.. No way Sasha can drive to the hoop like that and for that matter make a lay up.. His game is to be irritating on defense and to catch and shoot the open 3. He is good at that..

I would say he's more like P!tu. I love Sasha's passion though... he can get hot in a hurry, rain some 3s. Plus he's fast as hell...

What I want to see is Pau making a much stronger first move to the rim. I want to see a James Worthy-like power step, no more of that wishy washy stuff, just power his body in and stuff it down their throats. I'm sure Phil is making him work on his footwork and I hope JW is helping out too.
