Lin screwed himself by signing the offer with Houston. He opted out of playing in the playoffs because he was only at 85% while players like Mike Miller played with the back of a 40 pound hooker.

Lin WANTED out.

He could've signed for a bit less in NY and made exponentially higher in marketing sales than Houston could ever dream of matching.

Lin. Wanted. Out.

He's a good player, one that will average around 15 and 7 a game, but the cost of keeping him was too high. The Knicks would've planted themselves back in the Marbury/Francis era of salary cap hell for the next four years.

I understand how fans of other teams wouldn't understand this(especially Lakers fans with the IQ of 30), but this was actually a smart move on the Knicks part.

The idiots at ESPN that are crying foul on the Knicks with their latest news articles are blowhards.

The same writers had an ALTERNATE article to run if the Knicks decided to keep Lin.

Trust me.

i agree...they didn't overreact...they stayed cool and made some really good signings and trades. they got younger and left some flexibility for next season's free agent class should they try to get involved

Thats a sign of a good franchise and where cuban has really learned. He used to throw around money like crazy, now he's looking more so flexibility and big picture all the while doing a good job of putting a compettitve team together,,

knicks told lin to find his market value (dumb)

then they said theyd match up to a billion dollars (liars)

now say lin has no loyalty for doing what they told him (stupid)

lin= win knicks = forever ____ed because they have a dumb owner

they set themselves up for exactly what everyone knew what would happen. idiot franchise.

enjoy fat felton.

laker fan with an iq of 30 named bodie

knicks told lin to find his market value (dumb) Dumb? Not really. They took a chance on it. Houston was the ONLY TEAM dumb enough to offer up that ridiculous amount of money.

then they said theyd match up to a million dollars (liars) Mike Woodson said that. The coach. Dolan runs the Knicks. What Woodson says is meaningless. Kind of like when Mike Brown opens his mouth.

now say lin has no loyalty for doing what they told him (stupid) It's not about loyalty. It's about business. I'm not mad at Lin for going with the higher offer. I simply don't feel he's worth the money. I'm not sure why this concept is so difficult to grasp. We'll see this coming season. In the Western Conference, Lin is going to get warped into a turtle shell by the athletic guards in the West.

lin= win knicks = forever ____ed because they have a dumb owner Okay. This I can agree with. As I've stated all along, until Dolan sells the team, the Knicks will be mired in mediocrity.

If Lin can manage to lower his turnover ratio while keeping his FG% the same, then it was a fantastic deal. However, he's not going to have the same players on the Rockets roster to pass to as he did in NY.

I think the Rockets are in for a rude awakening.

I hope he succeeds, however. But I think he had a better chance of doing that in the Eastern Conference against the likes of Mario Chalmers.

The West is going to torch him.

Just wait for the highlight reels when he first matches up against Westbrook.

Just noticed you edited your post.

"Fat Felton?" Felton was in shape during his time in New York. EVERYONE knows this. He never wanted to leave the city. Just like Chandler. Just like Gallo.

Felton will come in shape. No doubt about that.

But please, tell your moronic California boys to stop getting into trouble. Kidd, Lynch, etc. are ruining all of my fantasy teams.

Edit: This is hilarious, yet disturbing at the same time. Oh, Kidd:

It's hilarious because he's an idiot. 39 year old with the maturity of a fourth grader. It's disturbing because I believe it represents a metaphor of the Knicks' front office over the last decade.

Wow.....

I thought that it was just a fender bender when I read the articles. That's is brutal.

And the Cavaliers are back in the Dwight Howard to Lakers trade....:slap:thud:

Although I don't like Dan Gilbert a whole lot, but if he's the guy that can get Dwight to the Lakers, that would be awesome.

yes we can all agree dolan is an idiot. the whole lin thing should have been handled differently. big popularity blow for the knicks. instead it was all pretty ham handed, speaking of which the last i saw felton was fat. i agree with PJ, looks like a clunky team.

its really looking like dwight is a lock for the lakers. my god its going to be awesome collecting another ring or two. talk about a lethal team, i could go on and on about the possibilities..

I just thought it was funny that you singled out LA when, like I said, almost all NBA championship caliber teams are acquiring veterans. Now don't get all pissy, just because I point out your NBA acumen shortcomings...:lol

I think I'm just going to get in the habit of saying STFU jstep every time you ever quote me, k? :lol

Off topic, but is that R Kelly in your avatar, Nos? :lol

Allistair Overeem, UFC fighter.

I hope he succeeds, however. But I think he had a better chance of doing that in the Eastern Conference against the likes of Mario Chalmers.

from what I remember, Chalmers and Cole even locked his ass up, but I guess that could've been cause the Heat can lock it down defensively as a team. The Heat game was the first game we Lin got seriously exposed. Will prolly be, like you said, a 15 and 7 guy though. I don't understand all the coverage he's getting.

Btw- we already know Gilbert is a dumb ass, wouldn't surprise me if he helped LA become another big time team. I actually think OKC would still match up better against a Howard LA team, then say Miami, SA or Boston. Iblockyourass and Perkins can handle him. Not to mention, any time someone has back surgery, there's no telling if they will be what they were, big risk.
