:google I just had a split second to save my own life and somehow I managed it. :thud::google

I was walking back from a local shop , sat down on a bench since the bags I was carrying were quite heavy , there was a junction in front of me and all of a sudden a car that was definitely speeding spins out of control and the back end swerves straight towards me and I had to run out of the way , I literally felt the air off the back of the car as it swerved past me. I saw the two guys in the car and sure enough they drove back off. Everyone was staring in there cars and a few people came out of shops to see if I was ok.

My heart is still racing. I had a split second to make a decision to move , if I'd have gone the wrong way I'd probably be dead now. :horror
Debating on whether to do anything further now. If I'd have been an older person , a kid or even just had headphones on damn , I don't know what would have happened.

Damn hicksy that sounds like it was close. I'm glad you're okay :1-1:

The next person might not be so lucky, if you can report them then do so (imo).

x :wave

Sounds like you pulled of a Hicks move right there. Good job. It'd be great if somebody got the license plate number.

I had a near death experience once. I was about 5 years old and starting choking on a red hot dollar. My dad held me upside down by my feet and kept slamming my head on the floor until the obstruction dislodged itself. Not the most orthodox method, but it worked.

I was doing 60 on a backraod when the torque nut fell out of the steering box in my little sister's '86 LeMans. Shot straight off the road. Luckily it wasn't the river side. I missed the one telephone pole on that side of the road by 6'. My first instinct was to grab the door handle and slam both feet into the brake, and it worked. The car caught the dirt shoulder and the right front got punched by a grove of small trees, a hundred feet from where I left the road. It crushed the body from the headlight to the rear panel. The car bounced off the trees, then twice into the road, where it stalled. If the trees hadn't been there, there was a three foot wide oak waiting for me on the other side.

When it was over, the steering wheel came off in my hands. 42 minutes before midnight on my birthday, 1999.

Thanks guys. I'll be keeping my customs for now. :pfft::lol

Pics or it didn't happen.

Not a problem. :lol I've just been back there and took a few photos. They're uploading to photobucket now. :yess::monkey1

Unbelievably now my back is killing , might be because I had to move so quickly.

Ok , so here's the junction where they skid in.

Here's the bench where I was sitting.

Here's how close he was. :horror

Keep in mind this is his left wheel so the whole car hit the bench. If the tire mark ends there imagine how close the car was.

What the tip of his bumper did to the kerb.

You can see slightly here the marks where they lost control near the junction.
