I just had a split second to save my own life and somehow I managed it.

I was walking back from a local shop , sat down on a bench since the bags I was carrying were quite heavy , there was a junction in front of me and all of a sudden a car that was definitely speeding spins out of control and the back end swerves straight towards me and I had to run out of the way , I literally felt the air off the back of the car as it swerved past me. I saw the two guys in the car and sure enough they drove back off. Everyone was staring in there cars and a few people came out of shops to see if I was ok.

My heart is still racing. I had a split second to make a decision to move , if I'd have gone the wrong way I'd probably be dead now.
Debating on whether to do anything further now. If I'd have been an older person , a kid or even just had headphones on damn , I don't know what would have happened.

I live 1 house away from the corner where there's just about literally 1 or more accident every week. Just 2 days ago, someone on a bicycle got hit by a car and was on the ground. I can't see him mostly because the telephone/electrical pole and the car was blocking him. The bicycle was certainly damage and knocked 15 feet ahead. Two people was by him. Ambulance came after the police.

Before that, some old woman hit the back of a truck's trailor. And this is a 25mph zone.

Its a bad area where right after the light, two lane merged into one, one block down (well a small block). And one block down is at a 4 road intersection. Each road have both opposite direction. This isn't even close to a highway. So once or more times every week, I hear accident noise. Needless to say, I am more careful coming n leaving my home than anywhere else. People just can't drive.

Oh yea, last year I was hit from behind by a mini school bus. I was on my way to work and nearly there. I was at a complete stop, about 40 feet from the light signal.

Glad to read that they missed you!

But strangely enough, this reminded me that something happened this weekend that made me think that the event was mundane and every-day, but only a small removal from certain death.

But I will be damned if I can remember what the event was.
