Action Figure NECA 1/4 Affleck BVS BATMAN

Mine rolled up today. Definitely better in person though now that I've caught the customizing bug it certainly needed a few mods. I did Tony Mei's face mod and that made a big difference. The main issue I had with the rest is that it's just too clean and bright. I've given the entire suit a wash with a watered down flat black enamel. It's made a huge difference and looks far more accurate (photos of the screen used suit show black in the crevices of the texture).

All the brass of the utility belt, gauntlets and boots got the same treatment too. I also painted around the eyes as for some reason the black around the eyes was a lot lighter. The last touches were giving him better stubble.

Pretty pleased with how it turned out, especially considering it's my second mod.

I like it. I plan on doing the same, whenever NECA get their **** together and get UK suppliers sorted.

Did you just do the stubble as a wash?

It would have been cool if it was brown and black like a lot of the promotional stuff for the film. But as an out of box collector, it's just a box so I don't care too much.

Yup, I can confirm Neca's BVS Batman is a lot better in hand. The head isn't 100% spot on, but it looks a lot better in person. In terms of overall fun and posing, this may potentially be my favourite Batman yet (still haven't opened Begins) . The articulation works great (though I don't know what type of joint he has in his torso, anyone care to inform me?) and this is definitely one of the better standing 1/4 figures. I'm not worried about him falling over at all. The cape is also a really nice material, and is a perfect size. Bats also feels a lot more sturdy in hand, and the plastic feels better compared to some of their other figures. I feel confident posing the figure, and I don't have much worry of breakage. The accessories are pretty standard for a Batman figure, but are absolutely necessary and very welcome. The grapple gun is well detailed, and has some fine weathering. Being able to remove the tips is a nice touch to further change up the poses. I also really like how the hand for the gun has a removable thumb, to easily put the gun in. The 2 Batarangs aren't super complex, but look good none the less. I managed to get Bats to hold both at once.

This isn't one of NECA's best looking 1/4 figures, but after you start posing him, you can appreciate it a lot more. It feels good in hand, and can be put into many poses without hassle. Overall I do recommend picking one up, despite the head (which really isn't that bad having it out of the box IMO).

His head might actually be worse than their MOS.

One more photo of mine. I've had a Batman v Superman Batman Logo Fan Emblem waiting patiently for this guy to be released (I have emblems for the '66 and '89 figures as well as the Reeve and Cavill Superman figures). They make for a great display combo!

And thats really not unrealstic of Affleck do do that.. Now Bale on the other hand never seen him do an kick with the Begins suit. Can't wait til I get my affleck back with mods all painted plus weathered and frayed cape.

I'm so conflicted about getting this guy, on one hand, I loved the movie and Afflecks performance. On the other, I can't stand the whole head section. The face isn't that off but its the way the neck-piece sits separately from the cape which really irks me. I might just hold out for Mezco or hot toys, I haven't decided yet.

Actually they have Batfleck on the site right now listed as being In Stock. However I couldn't locate the Alien Warrior.

i bought this from callenders in the us on thursday 23 rd june for $99 and $32, 2 to 5 day express delivery ,with $5 off take 5 promo on check out ,ups say its down for delivery this monday 27 th june
around £90 delivered ,give or take customs charges lol,but the postage is excellent value for a express delivery as its listed as 7 and a half lbs in weight
