I've been collecting 1/4 scale Predators and Star wars big figs villans for years and still no Q scale Marvel villian figures. What gives Neca? Oh well[emoji23]

Spidey just arrived and he's already promoting Marvel merchandise! :lol

He actually looks pretty good in that photo, it's probably because he looks like his surface is actually covered in cloth. Anyone try to repaint Spidey with a more matte paint?

The gloss looks nice because you can see all of NECAs awsome sculpted detail more easily, however, the surface finish doesn't look screen accurate. Potentially could look really good with a super Matte paint job.

Check out the prototype pics. He's got a pretty matte paint job there, Unfortunately it's with slightly darker, more desaturated colours. Maybe someone can try attempt repainting him with a super -matte finish or simply spray him down with dullcote.

I'll be masking the eyes and doing exactly that. I use the Tamiya TS-80 Flat Clear on a lot of my figures. It does a great job of reducing the plastic sheen.

Yup , definitely doing a matt spray sheen to take away some of the gloss!

Before and after the clear flat coat. The clear coat was still drying around the neck area so that will lose the last bit of sheen showing up there when completely dry.

It always makes a huge difference.

Yes! Daredevil and Spidey are moving way faster than expected. Tracking says it's already in my home town! I would get them Monday if not for the long weekend.

There was a huge delay in Northmen Collectibles getting Spidey in but it's gonna be a treat to open up both figures at once.

Daredevil and Spider-Man came in last night; went ahead and opened them up today!

Overall both are quite awesome though I have more gripes with Spidey.

My only real issue with Daredevil is that if you stick the connectors into his Billy clubs too far, they are a pain in the ass to get out. I quickly learned to not stick them in all the way, and so they still don't fall out but will come loose when needed. Basically a non-issue now. Also right out of the box I hardly needed the hair dryer which is unusual for a QS NECA. The joints were comfortably tight. I am a sucker for alternative heads and the inclusion of an unmarked head with the mask for him to hold is a major plus in my book. The various extensions for the Billy clubs are also really nice and they provide a load of different combinations. The super long one with the grappling hook is going the extra mile in my opinion, however it's extremely hard to work with so it probably won't get too much use. Overall it's an exceptional figure and just as good as Deadpool.

With Spider-Man it was the complete opposite for some of the joints in terms of comfortably tight out of the box, especially the crotch area. I had to heat and move those multiple times to get it to a point where I'm not scared they are going to break every time I move them. Some of the articulation is really funky too, specifically in the torso and the knees. The ab crunch is really awkward and large and ugly, and a bit gappy for some reason. The waist is also a ball joint but its pretty loose. Lastly the knees have excellent range but are a real eye sore. I'd say it's worse in person; they don't look nor function like real knees. What an odd design choice. The regular head likes to pop off at the base of the neck a lot but that's a minor issue. I'm a big fan of the swappable eye lenses and with a mini screwdriver they come out easier than I thought they would. The extra head is once again a very welcome accessory. The sculpt of the lower face isn't all there but it's close enough, however the paint makes it look like he has a bit of a rash under certain lighting. Guess that mask is irritating for Peter lol. All the hands are great (there's a lot) and the webbing is a nice touch. I enjoy the figure and have been having fun with it, especially as I've been wanting a QS Spider-Man in the collection for a while. However being a bit more critical it's flawed and not quite as good as Daredevil or even Doctor Strange which also released recently.

I tried out the T-800 sunglasses on Daredevil. They aren't red of course but they actually fit alright, the end just can't curl around the ears. It's an option though I'll never display him like that.
