Man, there's just so many Batfleck options available! So many price points, scales, manufacturers... for both armored AND the regular suit. I want so many of them, but am trying to not buy any until I actually see the movie!

Thanks for sharing, though, dang it- they haven't fixed the seam in the neck, so Bats still looks like he's wearing a neck brace. Hopefully there's still time for them to take that out and/or shorten the length of the neck piece.

The first things I noticed (as I was looking for them) on the updated figure were that it now has NO CUTS ON THE NECK, and that the hip/thigh "skirt" is now better-looking. Your eyes must be confused by the contours on the chin area of the cowl as the pics are low-res.

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

I'll stick with my enterbay.

Nice sculpt all over but the articulation is a deal breaker for me.

This may all change when I see it in hand though. I really wish it was TDK suit.

I would love the EB one, but this is a nice alternative for me. Missed out on the EB and the secondary market is a cold hard b****.

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

Oh no, What did they do to it? I liked the seamless neck since I don't really think it needs articulation there and the legs, I always thought was an easy fix (just got unglued). The abdomen articulation just killed the whole aesthetics of the chest. I don't think it is needed there at all; 89 bats doesn't have it and it displays just fine without it.

Ah, well, I'm still excited but what it could have been.

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

NECA's Keaton 1989 Batman actually has an abdominal joint (by the midriff). While it doesn't offer much crunch/movement apart from rotation, it looks great and obviously not-so-obvious.

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

They removed the neck seam so obviously they had to add another one, looking as bad as the old one, nice job NECA.

I'll try to get the Enterbay one instead. Because NECA 1/4 are more like statues that can't stand on their own than action figures.

I never once had any problem with any of thier 1/4 figures. and Thats not a seam thats just the jaw line.

You are actually right! I didn't noticed it when I looked at mine because the cut is hidden behind the ab sculpt. It's actually strange to see it there since the sideways rotation is in the waist already.

I will still buy the Batman begins version, at the worst I can always glue that part up and fill in the gap. I think due to the design of the suit, filling in the gap would be fairly easy.

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

I'd consider this if i didn't have the superior (and 4 times as expensive) EB one.

See what I did? it was a pointless comparison since they are both obviously priced differently.

I'll wait for the 6 inch version to go with Joker.

Re: Neca 1/4 scale batman begins batman

Yeah, I never bought the Quarter Scale 1:4 NECA Joker because I have the DX Hot Toys ones. Saw no reason for it and it looked pretty mediocre in that scale for me.

Then the scaled down 7" version of Joker hit last Fall, and I bought the **** out of it. Same great detail, same accessories, but smaller and for $20. It was a great buy and actually turned out really well from the transition of 1/4 to 1/12 scale. I'll take a chance of the same thing happening with this Begins Batman. If not, oh well.

Only 1/4 NECA figures I buy are of older characters. '89 Batman, Returns Penguin, Robocop, Terminator. See no point with the modern stuff since they already have so many options in terms of products to their name.
