No problem :)

Well, quite. The walking stance looks a bit off and is hard to balance without a stand (I wouldn't leave it as is on the shelf) but the cape shapes fine. Here is a quick try:

Remove the feet from the equation and it looks great:

Damm I never thought about putting wires in a 1/4 cape but I really like this. Can the wire be easily removed if I just want it to drape naturally again?

Sure! It's super easy :) I used some copper wire. Roll reads "0.9 mm".

Then, only thing you really have to do is slide it carefuly in the hems of the cape (they are not sealed at the bottom) all the way up to the cape connectors at the top and voila! Cut the wire a bit shorter than the cape so that it doesn't show at the bottom and it'll stay in there by itself.

I actually managed to get a cool wing spread with the help of the arm.

Thanks so much for sharing! I was just thinking I need to change the pose of my Bats, so maybe I'll stick some wire in the cape and go from there!

You're welcome! Have fun :)

Yes, the wire is just slid in the hem. You can remove it by pulling it out.

:clap Great idea on the wire. Gonna try this sometime but for now I have him standing with the cape draped over himself.

Looking at this figure against screenshots it's a little too shiny especially the cowl. Anyone know of the best way to take away some of that shine without damaging him?

I repainted the entire figure (except for the boots and the gauntlets on his arms) with a flat black paint and it took a bunch of the shine away.

You could probably matte clear coat him I plan on doing that at sum point same with Keaton gauntlets gloves and boots.

Any good deals out there on this figure? I just missed out on a 20% off on Calendars.com. That or it didn't wanna apply, like I've read here.

Sorry if this was posted. I read through most of this but I could have missed it.

What's the easiest way to remove the cape? I accidentally snapped off one of the cape clips and it looks like its just a rubber plug that holds it in. I wanna be sure I can remove it and replace it with something else or re insert it.

I want to take the cape off because I want to take the head off to mod the neck but I don't wanna get the cape wet and i don't think I can cover it all with a plastic bag.

It's not gonna hurt the cape if it gets wet.

I added some wires to the cape. Not great but adds to the display options and removable with no damage done anyway :)

While doing that, I noticed one side of the cape was not sewn down to the bottom. No big deal but weird, since it looks quite finished.

I finally got some copper wire and added it to the cape today. I only took a moment to show the cape, so I need to get a cool look out of it, but I thought I would share the results. Thanks to Iam_Dabatman for the idea!

Cool! You're welcome. I'm glad somebody actually gave it a try. Enjoy your new posing possibilities now! ;)

Here is how my Bats currently looks:

(Yeah, I know the contrapposto is not for everybody but I like it.)

I did a similar pose, lol. Also, Xbox 👍👍

Well done! :)

I might give a try at those display stands. My Bats has fallen quite a few times since I have him. I pose him, have him pass the flick in the head test, he stands, and then one day he falls for no reason. It kind of pisses me off. This thing is heavy, but still. Ratcheted ankles would be nice, I guess.

And yeah, Xbox rules. Haha!

Mine kept falling to despite appearing to be secure. Gave up in the end and got a stand, no issues since then.

Has anyone taken the ball join out of the cowl? I notice the eyes are actually a separate piece and if I could take them out it would be easier to paint the black around the eyes a little darker.

I did it a while back. Getting the existing eyes out of the head was hard work and took me over an hour. I got some 2mm doll eyes and set them in apoxie. I used apoxie sculpt to take an impression of the existing eyes so I could make an exact replica of the originals.

Jesus Christ that headsculpt is hiedous! Is that the standard NECA one? I've not seen it before but Jesus!

It looks good in person..honestly. Really good figure. Not quite on a par with their Turtles but one of NECA's best after those.
