This thing is spectacular. I can't believe how great he looks without the coat. That's exactly like he does in the scene where he kills one of his own men and kicks him down into the water.

I kinda expected it from the first image. XD I was thinking: "How could those be sculpted? Where's the joints?"

I'm in awe with the mayor Penguin figure. At first I thought it would be an easy pass for people and it's going to be on sale later but the effort put in this mayor version is unbelievable. It's just a simple retool and pretty much a brand new sculpt.
The use of fabric material for his costume is a great surprise. trousers, jacket and coat. New sculpt gloved hands.
I don't seem to see the fish accessory in the promo pics despite it's been mentioned in the description.
It probably got left out to balance the cost but to be honest there's no real use for it when we already got one with the previous version.

Yeah he looks amazing.... I plan on picking him up with in the next three months or so if Raph is delayed then for sure will get him in Feb.

I really like the head sculpt here; I think it's even better than the original which was already fantastic. But the original also seems to capture the character from the movie better and I believe he has more screen time in the sewer suit? Tough decisions.

What a fantastic product NECA's come up with. Craft a good diorama base and this would pass for a high-end Premium Format.

The pants and jacket are so well-tailored, I have now thought of selling the first one for cheap so I could get this. Agreed that the first one looks fantastic and may have had more screentime (that I'm not sure of), but I only have room for one and Mayor Cobblepot to me closely resembles Penguin's dapper look in the comics. Another thing is that IMO this version is the one best displayed next to NECA's (or Sideshow's) 1/4 Catwoman and Keaton Batman -- reminds me of how the Bat and the Bird first met the Cat.

I am waiting for this to pop up at my LCS. I am upset there never was any 1/6 Hot Toys of Penguin or Catwoman. Do they make any 1/4 bases that are the "crotch grab" style? I can only find the ones that grab around the waist and I am fairly sure it will not work with Penguin!

Repainted my Penguin head

Before:

After: I colored the teeth so they weren't so yellow. Added more spit inside mouth. Blended and added color to eye sockets. Overall skin fleshing and lightening. Hairline painted.

Actually didn't need either. It came off easily. Just pulled with my thumb under his chin. Slid right off.
