NECA 1/4 scale predator

I would hit the ceiling if TRU accepted returns for torn netting. Don't think I'll try, though. Too much of a hassle for something that'll probably get torn later on anyway.

If you don't open it, couldn't you just return it to your store?

Mine still only has a small rip, the rest of the netting seems very nice and firm.. And even if this thing came with no netting, the sculpt, paint, size, it's all worth it.. We just need someone who can make some real netting.

What about the HT Pred's netting? Could we like, buy two of those, cut'm up and glue them in certain places?

well see you totally could, I am very positive that replacement netting can be found, we would just have to look, and, even if it looks a little different that would be okay too,

the only problem i see is how to take the predator figure apart without breaking anything, or without ruining it,
i know someone here already took their pred apart I just wonder how difficult it is, and how the joints connect,

I guess it's just as well my masked one came with several tears. It has the worst gap I've seen of all those we've posted here.

I guess some of you will pick on me for it, but I think NECA's quality hasn't changed much. Well, I'll say their paint apps did show improvement. The rest didn't. Don't tell me the sculpts have improved, because I think that hasn't really been NECA's problem. They usually have good sculpts. I'm repainting a 7" alien, and when I got the black base coat on it, it really showed that.

I don't think I'll buy other 19" predators if they release them, unless there's marked improvement on these quality issues. It's just too much of a hassle for the quality we're getting. I'm just one of many drops in the bucket though. I'm sure others will sell just fine.

when you get to the stage where you apply the new netting it would not only be great but also is sadly becoming increasingly necessary to see how you did it.

Please document that phase of construction, it sucks that we'll need that information in case we need to perform netting transplants on ours.

Seeing as you're the only one brave enough to completely dismantle your Pred and do a complete netting redo you're the only one among us in a position to instruct us.

on paper the bio should be the easiest to achieve
but ultimately it is the one with more problems
and probably the network over time will break at different points

for those that ordered these through TRU online, have you tried checking the status of your order through the web site? I tried earlier and now, apparently the system says I don't have an account anymore cause it doesn't recognize my email, so maybe that means they won't offer them online anymore? Just curious if anyone else is having the same thing happen. I don't have room for any of these anymore, and with all the cheap netting issues, I've kind of lost interest, but I don't even know if the order is still in process or what now .

My TRU order is the same as it's always been. However, one person on here had his order cancelled a while back. I think they might have cancelled the ones they couldn't fill.

I just picked up the masked and closed mouth version from a nearby shop.

I've never had any Neca products before and I have to say I'm really pleased with these guys. lb for £, they're pretty good value for the quality I reckon.
