Im super excited about the figures, but the 1/4 scale is unfortunate. Had these been a bit smaller, say 8-12 inches i feel it would have been perfect.

The 1/4 scale makes them more difficult to display imo. I dont have an entire room dedicated to figures so i have to make these fit either on a bookshelf or some other location that can fit these turtles.

But, for some reason i feel these scale better then other 1/4 figures i have seen. Again not a huge collector like some of you in here, but these look way better then the batman, sumerman and other human like figures i have seen. Maybe its the fact that these are based off puppets and that translates better to this scale. I also think the Alien 1/4 looks really good.

If they were 16 inch statues nobody would have an issue, but the thing is the sculpt is so good that you can display them in a way where it will look like an statue for the most part.

P., Relax bruh. Dude was being helpful in displaying his collection. I don't think people care about insecurities such as whether one has "dolls" or not.

I have 15 1/4 scale figures. So for all that are complaining please tell me again how they don't go with your 1/6, because I have 1/6 1/4 and 6 and 7inch figures and they go all well together. It all depends how you display them. I'm not saying my setup is the best because is not but you get the idea :)

Wow. Inspiration right here.

3) oh, and never visit Ripley thread in 1/6. there are literally "they", dozens of them, who visit the thread only for one thing: to "come and talk smack about" the figure. your heart will explode if you see it.

Just to be clear though - you don't really think that's a good Weaver likeness right? You're just perplexed that so many people see the problem there and yet don't see the problems with Terminator and Predator sculpts...

yep, something like that :)

Hah, listening to Turtle Power on youtube. I dunno if I should but I like that song. Gotta laugh though - ''this lethally evil force''....of pick-pocketers :lol April O Neill's report at the beginning of the film has such a grim tone and purse-snatching and breaking & entering are the worst things mentioned.

I guess it can only be that for whatever reason the Alien franchise attracts a more discerning kind of fan. And I think there is a sense in the world of movies that the Alien films have more artistic merit than Predator and Terminator. Sigourney Weaver felt it was beneath Alien to join up with Predator and do the AvP movies. I'm guessing Cameron and Ridley Scott feel the same way. And Terminator, although the first two are widely appreciated, they're also probably considered to be a step below due to being Arnold Schwarzenegger films (as was Predator to start with). And maybe all this translates to the world of toys.

ht alien 2 figure has a terrible sculpt and paint, and you won't meet such description there. so it has to do nothing with the franchise :)

you address the wrong side here. i merely answered different questions asked by a person definitely worrying about lots of things said by others.

i loved music in that movie. sad themes and Shredder themes, both gave me goosebumps. the story is too simple by today's standarts, but soundtrack fixed it.

yep, i didn't get it either.

Yeah, I also don't see anything wrong in what P. said.

He's only stating what he wants as far as HIS collection needs. I sure as hell don't agree, but it doesn't really matter as I see things differently.

Also, great set up! Although a bit crowded for MY taste, cans deny the coolness.

What amazes me about NECA prices is that they don't seem to vary much between different licences, whereas other companies seem to jack up prices significantly for Marvel and DC items.

You know what crazy is? Play Art Kai Noctis cost $130, Hot Toys $300 and above, but Turtles 1/4 Neca detail and price is really amazing. Play Arts Kai doesn't have a chance to beat Neca's detail and price.

what do you think the availability will be like for these if you dont pre order? just looking at other Neca 1/4 figures on ebay and it doesnt seem like that is a scale that really jumps up in price on the third market.

Right now i have no place to put these, so over the next yer they would all be in storage. So im considering waiting and seeing if i can get a better deal, or purchase them and display later. It seems like it might even be possible a few years from now that we will see smaller versions for sale from Neca, that would be ideal.

They definitely do jump up after they sell out. In particular ones like the Keaton Batman jumped significantly (I've seen double to triple the price). Naturally that has changed with that particular one being re-released though. All depends on what item it is and whether it has sold out. Unlike some other licenses the Turtles haven't really been exploited before by other manufacturers (not like DC and Marvel lines have) so I'd say these would jump up once sold out.

Yeah these will sell out and then initially be more expensive on the aftermarket. However if they do prove to be as popular as it seems they will be then NECA will almost certainly do further runs and/or make new variants.
