I feel bias because the 1990 film came out when I was a kid, but I wonder how a 8 year old today will feel about the bay films 20 years from now. Which I also feel ar crap.

well thats coz the 1990s turtles movie was dark and gritty and had practical effects that were great at the time. The bay movies are just a rubbish cgi borefest.

If I saw the bay movie as a kid today I wouldn't like it. I liked the 90s turtles movie because they fought a lot and it was as heavy on emotion. The bay movies they don't fight the foot that much and they are to big for them. In the second movie they only fight like twice.

So, NECA seems to really have nailed the likeness of all four turtles, especially when compared to the pricier Prime 1's (which are great too, IMO, no need to bash them). But, regarding the NECA's, do you all think that while they nailed the likenesses, that the bodies are a pinch on the thin side? Looking at the NECA's and Prime 1's, Prime 1 seemed to have gotten the body proportions down a bit better--they look more physically strong to me. I think, for example, that the face on the NECA Donnie is 10x better than the Prime 1, but that the NECA Donnie looks like he missed a couple meals compared to Prime 1.

it's a major thing with Neca figures: anime proportions - long legs, small heads. and while it helps aliens, it affects predators and turtles a liiitle bit.

Only issue I have with these turtles is they are about 6 inches too large. Otherwise I feel they are perfect considering the price.

I think the NECA one are damn near perfect... There won't ever be an figure with the perfect head and portions that can articulate. It just isn't happening... I'm not bashing Prime 1's but there is so many thing wrong with those figures for the price... Weird looking faces,no scales,no spots,no scar on Raph's face, no Scratches on Raph's shell.

now small heads are not just obvious but seriously spoil the overall view.
a very pleasant view otherwise.
i'm happy for everybody collecting 1/4. these turtles might stay a inique product for decades since today.
