well, if talking about "how real"....bay's turtles can breathe through nostrils when their mouths are closed.
while classic turtles must have rectal breathing.
i had a tortoise and it definitely breathed through nostrils.

Yea. they really should of went with the out of the shadows game look. Realistic and familiar.

i think they became even worse than they were.
plus if there is part 3, Raphael won't have any head left at all.

wow that's disgusting, ugly and stupid, like a very, very bad cosplay. crazybay shreks >>> those pathetic bastards.

Hey atleast they aren't huge hulk abominations with a bunch of cluttered crap on them. I'd tweak the faces and take these any day over what we got. I hate how bay turtles shells look like they aren't attached to there body.

I think we're just too old and can't let go of the past. If we were kids, we'd probably like the Bay Turtles design because they're more extreme. I remember being more open minded about changes when I was a kid, but now, if something deviates too much from what's familiar, I don't like it too much and I nitpick certain details. I do like Donatello's glasses and diastema.

Henson style will always be my favorite's and cant wait to have in the collection. I wish they would bring them back to the big screen but know that will never happen. I love the old tmnt 1 n 2 over the new cgi action. Just more heart n soul in the 1st two films imo.

the pictures you showed (i never saw them) are abominations themselves, unpleasant to look at. reminded me of Eraserhead movie. so "at least" sounds strange about them. i can only say "at least they are not alive, or they should be killed on sight".

My fondness of the original turtles was there short stature, it made sense for a ninja hiding in the shadows and inhabiting sewers to be small. There was a logic to it, they also didnt were much clothing or accessories as this would create unnecesarry noise during sneaky missions

Same can be said about the shrek turtles. Guess no one liked them since they didn't do well at the box office.

they are ugly, but not nightmarish as those... i don't know what to call those silent hill styled abominations.

generic warcraft orcs from michaelbay movies don't look like that at all. they are just big, ugly and overdecorated. like, well, generic warcraft orcs. everybody likes orcs (thought the WoW fanboy designer and did what he did).

Love those designs above all else. They took the comic/cartoon look and translated to reality seamlessly I think. Sure they have comical head proportions, but I still think it worked FAR better than anything that came after it. Such as giving them freckles out the ass and then turning them into creepy Shrek abortions.

So who is the consensus favorite so far? mine is Raph.

Edit: I mean purely based on the neca sculpts. But as a kid my favorite was Leonardo.
