Is it possible to scale down figures? I kind of want to do a personal little project and scale one of these down to 1/6 but have no idea if that's even something that can be done. I feel like Iv'e seen other 1/4 scale heads scaled down to 1/6 but not quite sure.

It's been done with 1/4 scale head sculpts to varying success. You could probably find the process in the Customs section. I doubt it would work for a fully articulated figure. And, frankly, I think the results of shrinking 1/4 heads are hit and miss.

It could be maybe but you literally have to take the whole figure apart and make a cast of every single part. You may even loose some detail while doing so.

i'll just put them to the back of my shelf (it's 42 cm in height) and put all small playmtes turtle stuff in front of them. this way they will all be seen.

Heck yeah kinda sucks we'll have to wait so long for 6/7 inch versions of the 1990 Turtles from NECA but will be worth the wait I'm sure. I still do hope that the rumor of Figuarts doing the 1990 Turtles is true as well.

if small versions are ever made, i'll feel dumb because i'll have no need for giant ones. i hate having figures i don't need anymore. i have plenty already.

Figuarts would look great but I'd be afraid the joins would be pretty distracting at times.

I might be In the minority but I want figure arts to stay away from the Henson turtles. They might do them justice but I would much rather see more OT characters from Figurearts and more Henson and Mirage tmnt characters from NECA. It's nice at times when multiple companies do the same versions but I'm really tired of the same few turtle characters (namely the turtles) and would like to see these companies expanding the lines, not just stepping on eachothers feet

True... But I would love for Figuarts to do the 1990 Turtles and I'm sure alot other ppl would as well... Only time will tell if that rumor is true or not... But I have a feeling it is. Nothing wrong with having multiple options for figures.

What we need from this line is the 4 other important characters from the '90 movie, namely J. Hoag's April, E. Koteas's Casey, Splinter & Shredder ( Tatsu ? ). If NECA, Figuarts or some other company can provide these characters at the 1/4 scale level and are movie accurate, I'm all in.

Splinter and Shredder would be possibilities I imagine but I doubt they'd do anything else at 1:4. It doesn't seem to be a scale for going particularly deep into any license.

I'm pretty sure NECA already hinted a 1/4 Shredder. April, Splinter, and Casey won't get a figure, imo.

I love figurarts but they are super expensive. I would rather wait for neca to put out the standard action figure size 1990 film version of all the turtles, then buy 2 of all of em. They need a better paint up though, the last 6/7" range had some real sloppy paint work

FiguArts are worth it. Ask anyone who has figuarts. Multiple headscupts, lots of extra hands, tons of articulation, and lots of acessories as well as collector friendly packaging. They aren't that expensive. You can find most figuarts for $45 - $65
