I remember Neca responding to a tweet (maybe mine :)) saying they don't have rights to 7" scale (Playmates holds that). Similar to the Batman Returns licence. It has been confirmed by Neca that 7" Penguins are not possible.

I have many 18" figures (Pinhead, Chatterer, Leatherface, Freddy, Myers, Gandalf etc etc) all are in boxes with only P1, P2 and Alien displayed. What does that mean for four turtles????

Take what neca says with a grain of salt. The 7 inch Turtles will happen. Just a matter of time.

Yup Neca said that about Batman and Superman 1/4, and look at the result. As long as they know people will buy..there is nothing that Neca won't produce

Yea I have no doubt that 7inch will be made but still I waited to long to just let these go lol. Guess I'm just being greedy.

Nah, you're not the only one that will still be head over heels over these.

My problem is price and space..so I'll have to pick and choose :slap

Didn't Neca do 1/4 scale Marvel, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, Batman Returns.....I don't see any 7inch of them.
True But Neca has released 3 different boxset of the Turtles in 6 inch so we know it will happen at some point even though it will likely be an con exclusive.

Neca says they don't have the 7 inch rights all the time and 9 times out of ten thy are made into 7 inch figures. Keaton,Reeve,Ledger,West,Begins and Harley all got made into 7 inch. They will probably do 7 inch Catwoman and Penguin next year.

There's a difference between not having a license, and not being allowed to have a license though. They can pursue any license they don't already have, but 6" turtles are off limits, the same way Barbies are off limits. Imagine if some company wants to do their own version of Barbies, that's basically what the chance is for Neca doing 6" turtles. Playmates owns the Turtles since the 80s, Neca got a chance to do it once before but got shutdown soon after. Only companies from Asia is allowed to do that scale, or using loopholes like those Neca 6" Konami TMNT arcade figures. Those are videogame characters from a Konami game who happen to be ninja turtles, somehow they are not considered as a TMNT license.

I have asked Randy (NECA) their thoughts on doing a 7 inch line of 89, Returns, Forever and B&R. Randy said not possible. Also in this discussion I’m not talking about a “one off” promotional figure I am referring to a 7inch line (ie. Never saw 7inch with LOTR or Hobbit because the licence was with another company). Still we can praise NECA for finding the loopholes to provide us fans characters we love to see in plastic no matter the scale!!

The comic versions. Are a part of the TMNT licence. I even asked Randy at the 7 inch movie Turtles and he told me if it does happen it won't be for an while as they have other plans for TMNT and since they can only do them as con exclusives thats only twice a year. NECA is allowed to do TMNT figures of the 6 inch scale but as an con exclusive only.

He could also be lying because the company doesn't want to reveal it yet

I'd rather have them at 1/4 scale because the details look great.

These look better and better. Wow.

Yep and notice Donnie in his box so I'm getting these are final production pics of Donnie... So likely around December 5th he'll show up on NECA's ebay and Amazon stores.

I remember at the time it bugged me a little that the arm and knee wrappings weren't colour coordinated to their respective headbands like the cartoon.
