NECA 18" ALIEN - stiffness and leg problems with the figure??

I'm pretty happy with mine and have had no real problems. I have heard of a fair number of people experiencing ankle breakage, though, so you do need to be careful.

that looks alot better than the original clear dome always ruined it for me. shows that with a few slight mods it can turn out pretty nice but the leg joints still dont match up

So you can appreciate the full size of this beast. Note the left leg has the gap at the knee-joint where that ******* shin wont fit into the ******* thigh-socket.

Have you tried using the hair dryer yet ? Blasted mine on the high heat setting then it popped in nice and easily

I used boiling water (on the thigh part, not to the leg part with the peg). It was still kind of hard to get in.

I see that you have a cloudy dome, Nicky. It's good that they finally fixed that issue.

It looks like the milky domes are making their way to Europe. Another collector from Poland uploaded pics of his over at the Hive.
You really should try some more with the boiling water or the blow-drier (as icruise said, on the thigh part -or female part- not the peg!).

mine got stuck like that but i hulked out on it and managed to force it in. it hurt my hand but i managed it

this figure ^^^^ing skeeves me... or at last it DID.

so, i get it home, basically hairdry the thing together and then have to almost melt the ankles to get them to move without snapping so it could stand up on the shelf.

2 hours later, i hear *BAM*... top-heavy piece of ^^^^ falls over onto the floor and cracks the ^^^^ing dome.
i took it back to the shop with the receipt and got my $40 back.

why the hell didn't this come with a base, or at least a stand? how ^^^^ing cheap is that?
are NECA figures made by oompa-loompas? they're too ^^^^ing caught up in singing retard songs to remember how gravity works?

LOL Yeah I wondered why a stand wasnt included too for such a top-heavy figure. It doesnt even stand easily on it's own.

I had one, snapped the ankle trying to flex the knee joint, returned it.The only other one they had already had a crack in the ankle that you could see in the box, so I kept my money. I bought one for my nephew earlier and while he had no breakage, the knee's on that one won't bend either.

Well I've now managed to get both legs stuck inot their sockets now, just heated up both leg parts in hot water.

I emailed NECA to complain but havent heard jack or ^^^^ from them since 3 wks ago. And Jack left town.

why not just return it where you got it and get your money back? i did.
no hassles, either... evidently, i wasn't the only one.
