they got your money. what do they care?
why not just return it where you got it and get your money back? i did.
no hassles, either... evidently, i wasn't the only one.
I got it from a stall at a con. I cant exactly take it back. Anyway I'm fine with it now but NECA need to learn from it if they want us to have any faith in their products.

anything they'd do now would be too little, too late for me.

now, my only choices for Alien figures are Medicom's over-priced midget Alien, or Hot Toys probable over-priced ugly Alien.

great.

I used a kettle of boiling water and a hell of a lot of force on the legs to get them together,
I was knackered by the time it was done. :duh

I actually pulled a muscle in my shoulder transferring the legs from one Alien to the other a couple of weeks ago (a foot snapped) . I was in agony for two weeks and on anti-inflammatory pills to sort it out.

My Gosh!!!! I want one of these...bung dang. Sounds like they are a real hassle to assemble ect LOL

A mate passed on one of the smaller ones because the foot snapped. I glued it and now it's aok. Hey...anyone got a broken one they wanna sell?

Where do they have the most probs? Just the legs and feet?

Regards

I have a 9" broken one, but I'm in Colombia, so...
But yeah, the most problems are around the ankles, as on some figures the paint stuck the articulation (happens on a lot of these type of figures).
It's usually best to try to loosen up the articulation using a blow dryer or hot water first.

or even try spraying some furniture polish in the joints , somthing like mr sheen , it will get the joints moving and it will also have a nice smell.

I too broke off a foot at the ankle. I tryed everything to loosen it. Boiling water, WD40, hair dryer, all to no avail. I drilled, pinned and gluded the foot back on. It's in a great pose now with the Dallas and Kane figures. If you pose him in crouched position, he looks real good with the crew figures, not to tall. Even with all the hassle, at $35.00 it's still a real bargin

When you get your Neca figures, don't forget to buy this too

What's with the design swirls on his skull? Are those printed on or applied with a black sharpie by an 8 year old in a hot sweat shop in China? Is there a pic to compare the skull deco of the toy with the real thing?

I still think the original Kenner Alien was kind of cool in a freaky sort of way. I wish I had picked one of those up.

figure is fricken sweet. the only part of the body you should force to move is the ankles. to get the legs in heat the thigh holes to get the legs in. if you cant balance him in a way you want it. use his tail as a prop up

The figure poses beautifully well, it's not very difficult to find balance.
As for the swirls on the skull... the fact that they are painted on is accurate, it's just that the folks in China did not make a very good job of it.
But, to be quite honest, I hardly notice them anyway.

Well I got another 18" version for my Xmas present (My third one). Its the cloudy dome variant and straight out of the box one of the arms is broken and the back of the head is not aligned properly to the skull. :banghead Do NECA actually have a QC department? I cannot belive out of three figures that all of them are defective in some way.

man, you're persistent. i gave up after the 1st one i got that broke.
is anyone sending them complaints about this figure? would they even care?

Damn, that's bad!
I got two of the big ones and three of the small ones. The big ones were both perfect (and I saw a third unpacked one at a store, also perfect), and of the three smaller ones only one broke because of material defects...

I have the 18" & 9" opened I haven't posed them yet because I will be selling them together :monkey2 due to well other SSC items I have on pre-order.

I didn't know there was a cloudy dome variant. Damn it, I hate f-u-c-k-i-n-g variants. They did the same thing with the 18" RoboCop. I bought the original one, and then they came out with the one with better paint aps with more blues and purples. Screw that s-h-i-t! That makes me stop buying from those companies, and I have. Just release the right one first and only you greedy a-s-s-h-o-l-e-s!

I just finished buying one of these bad boys on Ebay. I sure hope it doesn't come broken as the ones I have read on this thread. I don't mind the tight joints as they can be worked around in some way but to have it come broken out the box is no good.
