Heres a shot of the final head sculpt. I think it looks pretty good!

I added the little teeth in the front and on the sides and put a few more boney protrusions around.

I'm not too crazy about how long the front mandibles are. From my reference pics, they look to be a bit shorter in length.

One more modification to the mandibles and we're all done...

Thanks guys, glad you like it...

Well, I trimmed down the mandibles to the correct size. I also beefed up the right tooth a little bit.

I made the tooth so it comes off. I did this so Joe could paint the inside of the mouth. Otherwise, it would have been very tricky to paint.

Joe wanted me to prime the head and send him a pic to see if I needed to change or alter anything. He likes it! Says it ready for paint.

Ok, a few more full shots of the whole piece assembled and then it's off to Joe's lair...

That looks so much like NECA's prototype P2 Elder sculpt that it's scary. Spot-on work! Head seemed to be one of the toughest parts, but you nailed it!

this is one heck of a custom you got going I thought about taking the task but I knew that I'm going to have to make or look for some of the stuff that's needed to complete it like the flintlock..P2 gauntlet..belts and stuff..is it possible for you to make a copy of the flintlock and the gaunlet for purchase ? just an observation, the lower mandibles i think needs a bit more trimming but everything else looks fantastic !

I trimmed them gums down a bit.. ...I need the base below the tooth a little bigger for support.

As far as the flintlock goes, I can't cast it and make duplicates because it's not my personal sculpt. It belongs to the POTC Captain Jack 1/4 scale figure.

Same thing with the P2 Gauntlet. Thats a Sean hayes sculpt from his 1/5 P2. I only made a copy for this project, and this project only.

Well, this is it! He's finally finished. I must say this was a long and daunting project. He's all packed up and ready to ship to Joe.

I want to say thanks to all the guys who commented and all of you who helped me out tremendously (you know who you are).

So heres the final shots (missing a few conversions but they are there).
I took these pics earlier so they may look a bit different. The last modification I did was sand down the gums a little more and add the longer dreads to the fronts and sides.

It looks a bit odd with all the different colors and such, so try to picture the Elder somewhere under there.

Man I can't wait too see how Joe paints this up.
