Whoa! All I got from that with my reading disabilities is you, getting worked up.
That's just your reading disabilities acting up.

You're getting too deep in your own bs, I just like smiley faces boyo :lol
You're getting further and further away from anything resembling actual attempts to address anything I'm arguing for/against, and leaning more and more on pointless attempts at belittlement, and excessive numbers of smileys. Seriously, you have so many of them that even using two of my own would put this post over the limit.

Nuh-uh.

I can play this game as long as you can, as you can see, so why not offer something of substance in response instead?

You're still proving my point. :yess:
Mine, actually, by order of post.

This pic should suffice to prove once again, that I'm right:

I see you're unacquainted with this great new thing called "perspective"...

Still, your criticism holds no bearing. :thwak Since as you feebly rebutted that it was there not because it made sense but because it served a purpose, which in this case it obviously does both :wave
Yes, from an out-of-universe perspective, like the WeYu mercs and Spitter xenos in A:CM.

Oh, mhmmm let me see, have you heard of Star Wars? :dunno You know, kind of a big thing, George Lucas, went crazy, rings a bell?
I said "beyond dramatic convenience". Did you not read that?

And Star Wars isn't really "today's sci-fi" as distinct from Aliens as the first three episodes debuted several years before Cameron's film. I'm going to guess you'll probably cite the Prequels, but they're simply using visual tropes codified in the late 1970s/early 1980s (some of which Alien actually copied, e.g. the "used future" aesthetic).

Additionally, the relative levels of technology on display render any comparison of the same more or less pointless so far as your argument is concerned. The Nostromo is to a Star Destroyer as a birchbark canoe is to a nuclear-powered submarine.

Yeah no, I didn't dislike Ripley until Resurrection, which is what "killed it", you're just trying too hard.
You're just not trying hard enough. By your own logic, the series would have died anyway with Alien 3, barring the ridiculous "resurrection" of the film of the same title.

There are levels though.... 9th Symphony>>>>>Alien>Aliens>>>Alien3>>>>Alien Resurrection>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>****>>>AVP1&2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ACM.
Right, so in your opinion, then, all of the above are all masterpieces...

To be serious, though, you haven't really articulated what makes A:CM so much more terrible, in your highly questionable opinion, than all other Aliens-franchise media.

So what exactly is it, pray tell?

I'm a gamer in general, I game on everything :peace

Also:

That was in my 1st search.
Can't comment on that. I've the PC version, and I'm pleased to say I've yet to encounter anything like that.

Eh whaddaya gonna do? :dunno But that's rude, I don't complain about your overall difficulties with thinking. :pfft:
You just spent a whole post being rude and complaining about my supposed "difficulties with thinking", dear boy...

That's just your reading disabilities acting up.

It's still pretty clear.

You're getting further and further away from anything resembling actual attempts to address anything I'm arguing for/against, and leaning more and more on pointless attempts at belittlement, and excessive numbers of smileys. Seriously, you have so many of them that even using two of my own would put this post over the limit.

Okay I'll keep the gifs to a minimum :monkey3, just imagine they're there mk?

And no, I don't need to write a book to refute your arguments.

Nuh-uh.

I can play this game as long as you can, as you can see, so why not offer something of substance in response instead?

That's what I've been doing, also, yup.

Mine, actually, by order of post.

But that was wrong, then I corrected you.

Yes, from an out-of-universe perspective, like the WeYu mercs and Spitter xenos in A:CM.
Yeah I don't critique those concepts, just the poor execution in ACM, I actually got excited when I saw the crusher for the 1st time.

I said "beyond dramatic convenience". Did you not read that?

Yes I read it, I decided to ignore it, you know what's also convenient? Spaceships, soooo convenient for sci-fi movies huh? :cuckoo:

And no, Episode one, big ducts, there you go, you asked for a recent example, I delivered.

And no, since the ducts were several times bigger than in the Nostromo, there ya go for scale.

You're just not trying hard enough. By your own logic, the series would have died anyway with Alien 3, barring the ridiculous "resurrection" of the film of the same title.

Don't need to.

That's not my logic, and you oddly call it "died", I call it simply "ended".

Right, so in your opinion, then, all of the above are all masterpieces...
Didn't say that, like, at all, you put the 9th as a standard and I extrapolated from that, to draw you a pretty accurate picture.

To be serious, though, you haven't really articulated what makes A:CM so much more terrible, in your highly questionable opinion, than all other Aliens-franchise media.

So what exactly is it, pray tell?

I actually did:

Not really, considering that ACM didn't have the compelling story for starters, neither the charming characters and the memorable script and dialogue, it tried to capitalize on the style without putting effort to the substance....

Not the only one with reading difficulties huh? :lol

You just spent a whole post being rude and complaining about my supposed "difficulties with thinking", dear boy...

Well yeah, you know one usually replies AFTER reading a post, like, after you know what's it abouts and after you called me out..... so... pretty much you started the rudeness AAAND the smileys (now that you've made me go back to the beginning of the argument) :lol

To be fair, for some reason you used the same tone with me that you used with Lar'jwahshtashthei right from the beginning dear boy, but I came in peace :monkey2 I only sassed you afterwards

Wanna keep it civil now? :1-1:

NECA said yesterday that the "exclusive decoration" on the Genocide 2-pack simply refers to their new paint scheme.

Picked up three Genocide packs. The black and silver Aliens blow the brown ones out of the water. Also love the red ones. Really cool paint scheme.

My only gripe with the Aliens is that they are so difficult to get to stand.

They do look super sweet togther, love the army you are building, now for the queen

Thanks. These guys look 10x better when displayed as an army. It totally adds to the display seeing multiple Aliens in various poses. 3 more blue Aliens with the battle damage 2 pack Aliens will be sick. Queen will be icing on the cake!

The black ones do look great! Really like what you did with the red Alien and the stand too that looks really awesome.

Impressive group shot! Can't wait to see these in stores for myself! :clap

I actually stopped in TRU on Saturday, and they had 3 x genocide packs on the shelf. I scooped the best looking one. Got home and opened them up. The red guy was fine overall. They really do look better in person than in the promo picks. Both figures had inner mouths full of slop though. NO teeth visible through plopped on silver paint. Sad.

But it got worse! The black Alien had super tight joints. Crazy tight. Freezer trick was no help. Super tough. I chanced it and just pushed hard. SNAP. Gone went the arm. Dammit. Well....i can glue it...lets keep going. SNAP when the sternum joint. OK that is just dumb. Now I'm pissed and trying all the joints. SNAP SNAP SNAP.

Maybe its my fault because after the 2nd one I was just pissed, but a dismembered torso and 5 pieces later...I took it back to the store. They exchanged it with no questions asked. There was only one left when I went back though, so got the worst paint apps on the shelf basically.

2nd black alien was fine. Still a bit stiff, but no special treatment. Steady back and forth pressure got everything going. Still a slop filled mouths on both figures though...

Sometimes there is nothing you can do tho. I had a NECA Dead Space figure that just would move his leg no matter what untill I got impatient and forced it, it broke right off so I exchanged it with another that ended up having the same problem. To this very day I have not attempted to move his leg

You should try now, maybe this time it will move :nana:
