NECA: Alien Movie Franchise Figures

No way! That's their worst Alien figure. The sculpt on that sucker is way off.

I pick the Dog Alien any day over their AVP-warrior Aliens; I think they're just too bulky.

The McFarlane Dog Alien figure looked retarded. It's head was shaped like a brick.

Mine came today and there is no bent jaw or dome issues but all his joints are very loose and right foot is kinda bent but if I spread legs apart he can stand for a few mins. Not sure if its worth the hassle to return it.

@nekromantik and BuGz; this concerns me It's going to be real interesting to see if my NECA-figs also having these problems when they arrive.

The new chap has great articulation however the old one seems to be far superior not including quality but also detail. Probably NECA worse figure to date :thumbdown::thumbdown:

Sorry you feel that way, I actually think the detail is the same as the first figure, it only suffers because of the paint apps.

Abdomen too short, too-long legs. The texture of the sculpture and the color of the old version was better. The new version has the best joints but at the expense of the shape of the creature.

Actually, I think that despite the slightly long legs, the shape is much better. But yeah, the paint apps were better on the first one. I like the black as base color, but the dry brushing is very basic on this one.

Opened mine today. Love em! No loose joints at all. One stuck but I fixed it. Man I can't wait for the Queen and the Dog! Hoping for a Resurrection bug and a new Predalien with better articulaion as well.

Anybody with loose joints and plan on keeping the figure should look into the action support figure stands (Careful when buying, not sure if they come in different sizes!) same type as the D-Arts stands and that worked perfectly on my Big Chap. Plan on getting a few myself.

Funny you mentioned McFarlane; I've got a McFarlane Alien Queen (AVP-line) delivered to me next week. Yeah I know; most people just don't like the McFarlane-stuff but I think they're pretty cool.

I like the McFarlane stuff. My favorite by them was always the Xeno warrior from Aliens.

Returned the previous NECA Alien fig w/the broken leg. Picked up another for a decent price I guess the leg joints are loose but not complaining. The elbow joints are stiff but I will proceed with caution.....

Most probs, she's very anti-guns so any figure of Ripley will be gunless.
